The anti-LePen protesters sound like a typical Seattle anarchist crowd:
A Reuters correspondent said police with riot shields drove back a crowd of hundreds of demonstrators and fired tear gas after small groups of protesters began throwing metal barriers in the historic Place de la Concorde. Witnesses said protesters wearing crash helmets smashed the front windows of the famous Parisian restaurant, Maxim's. Others climbed up scaffolding outside the Hotel Crillon overlooking the cobble-stoned Place de la Concorde, the city's smartest hotel often used to host visiting foreign leaders.

I can't buy this moral (or immoral) equivalency of the Israelis and the Arabs. I see a difference between defensive and offensive aggression. They already won their war of offensive terrorism. Now they are using defensive terrorism to keep what they stole.

Winning territory in a war is not stealing - they returned most of the land they conquered and kept a strategic defensive barrier.
As for the sincerity of the leftist opposition to true fascism in France:
Samuels blamed the government of Socialist Prime Minister Lionel Jospin, knocked out of the race by Le Pen, for inaction following the torching of synagogues and desecration of Jewish tombs in France since Israel launched an offensive on the Palestinian territories on March 29.

The anti-LePen protesters sound like a typical Seattle anarchist crowd: They are. The leftists are scum, but there is a very good right wing, essentially 'Republican', candidate running against Le Pen, Jaques Chirac. It is like having the Democrats knocked out of the runoff and having a choice of Bush or David Duke. Maybe Duke had knocked the Dems out of the race, but you would have to be insane to support him over Bush.

Winning territory in a war is not stealing I am speaking of their terrorism and war on civilians to steal The Palestinian Mandate from the Brits in 48. And yes, it was Irgun terrorists who did it. And then Irgun Terrorists became the Israeli Government.

We don't see it, because it will never happen. I still think Isreal has every right to defend themselves against the pals/arabs but one thing I have learned in life is .. NEVER say NEVER
And don't think for one minute that the "Leaders" in Isreal aren't playing us like we are playing them

Bear made a brilliant daylight raid on the garbage can this morning while I was away. Same can, same trash, same result except he decided to save energy and not drag the can quite so far up the hill.
To: catpuppy
Catpuppy, you have got to do something about that bear! I hope it's not a mama bear!

Bear made a brilliant daylight raid on the garbage can this morning while I was away. Always when you aren't around ... ever get the feeling he's sitting near by and watching you

He is testing your perimeter, probing for weaknesses.
It might be time to store something overnight in the trash can, that would be unappealing to his nose. Like maybe some of that English Leather that you drink, and bathe in.

Kind of get the feeling something is about to happen
What's that saying .. it's always quite before the storm

Nully, I think I finally have a story to compete with one of yours. Oh, it doesn't have quite all the drama and special effects as one of your colorful tales does, but it is definitely late night, low budget "horror" anyway. I have roommates too...sorta. Anyway, one of them comes into my room a little while ago telling me about her and my cat seeing a ghost in her bedroom 2 nights ago. She then proceeds to tell me that now she knows she shouldn't have yelled at roommate #3's daughter because she realizes now that it was the ghost that has been stealing her beer! ROTFL!
I told you I have one of those personalities that makes people think they can tell me ANYTHING....even if I DON'T want to know!

I'm not sure if the news is slow, or if it has been overtaken by the Robert Blake arrest. I agree with a caller to Fox today that this is a California story -- not a national news story. It is not worthy of this bated-breath coverage at all.

The ghost did it! Oh, my sons would love to have a household ghost to blame.
To: catpuppy
catpuppy, let the game department have your garbage can to lure and trap that bear.
To: ValerieUSA
"my sons would love to have a household ghost to blame" Better keep it quiet then! Hehehe. Actually, I have heard stories that were more far out but were actually more believable. I just tried not to laugh. She really believes it. It would explain why she's so jumpy all the time.
To: ValerieUSA
You reckon I ought to turn her on to Art Bell?? Hehehehe.
