Well, Palo, you had quite the time at the dentist office...dental work is so very, very expensive....I am sure that all the worker bees at the dentist office loved you, even tho you got overwhelmed and created a scene...but you are the customer, and the customer is always right...they are working for you, you are paying their salary..so you have every right to have them do only what you want them to do...good for the brave Palo, sticking to her guns...
To: westmex
also when I was there Tuesday, dentist got out x-rays, said ''I'm not gonna sugarcoat anything''
pointed to stuff and said alarming things to me
when this began up again today, I said ''please sugarcoat everything for me, all I wanna hear is I have wonderful teeth and you're helping to make them more wonderful''
lol it's amazing the difference it made
while hygienist worked cleanin' my teeth
she kept saying nice things 'bout my teeth
it made me happy
when she saw me purring like a kitten, she got happy too

I love you

You handled it right, it's like going to the car mechanic, a denstist will rack up the bill and then expect you to pay without ever being consulted. It's your money and your teeth, so just because they are professionals doesn't mean they aren't going to ding you.Good for you, and it's not a scene what you did, but just holding your ground as the consumer of their services.Well done!! :-)Plus, if you don't have insurance, they will cut the price too ;that ought to be specified up front.

hi sweetie
I am lookin' at your beautiful day now
is your sky violet like that?
eagle in nest seems wide awake and attentive
also very happy
I bet she is enjoyin' the lovely weather

Palo, honey.. one tooth is $1,400? What are you having done, a cap? That's a lot of money for a cap..if it isn't gold or very good porceline.. Even then, it's high. In Fl. and NH. a cap goes for seven to eight hundred dollars... That's from a Dentist that wanted $18,000.. Get my drift? Check it out.. Like Habs said.. If you don't have insurance they should accomodate... Don't take any crap from them.. So far, you haven't.. Keep up the good work... smooooch

Does anyone out there happen to have a Hewlett-Packard puter with a cd burner? If you do.. will you please help me understand how to burn one of those suckers? I have been around in circles with this thing.. I knew how to do it once, and now I just can't seem to make it work.. I'm flummoxed...
To: palo verde
My sky right now is a very light blue...I suppose over a cam, it might look like its violet...I love it here, when the sky is a deep clear blue, and Mt Rainier, is full of snow, and just glistens against the sky...its really quite beautiful here...
To: grannie9
I know nothing about CD burners, sorry...I am really computer illiterate....just barely know how to work my computer...anything else and I am lost...
To: habs4ever
hi habs
thanks for your support
you are sweet
lol at one point in tooth cleanin'
I leaned back and put my hand on my head
she said ''are you gettin' restless''
I said ''no, I was wondering how I'm gonna pay the $1400
ask for dental loan from mom or from bank''
for some reason that cracked both of us up and we laughed for 5 minutes
Love, Palo
rofl it had been a big scene
the whole office heard it
the dental assistant Marin who I love looked at me with loving tender eyes
and asked would I like a drink of water
I said I'd love a cigarette

Does the software work as installed? you are just copying from your CD rom drive to the CD RW drive now, or are these MP3's that are on your PC already, say in My Music??
To: andysandmikesmom
It sort of sounds like the view we get in the White Mountains of NH.. Grass greening, trees greening, and the snow on Mt. Washington, and the range in the background. Beautiful sight.. Sometimes the snow stays in Tuckerman's ravine well into July..and people ski it..winter and summer. Dangerous ravine it is.. Almost straight down.. (lots of dogs died on that road) Steven King...

I think you are being gouged bigtime and unless your bite is very bad, there's no need for all those x-rays.I figure they are doing this to create a file on you since this is your first trip to them in 10 yrs, and now, maybe your last ;-)
To: palo verde
They are scamming you Palo..the dentist that is..it's the latest thing. Had a similiar encounter when I take the kids in for their teeth...screw them..let them make their money some other way...I never heard of 20 exrays.....

It sounds lovely there in NH...so many states have such lovely areas to see....
We are hoping to go up to Mt. Rainier over the Mothers Day weekend and go camping....its still pretty cold there that time of year, but camping is such grand fun and there are always lots and lots of folks there...
The snow up at Mt. Rainier, is there year round, but over Mothers day, its really quite full of snow...and you can go up only as far as one of the touristy places, Paradise, which is up at about 5,000+
But as the summer comes on, and more of the snow on the roads in the park melts, they open up roads going further into the park, and then one can go through the whole park, and up to Sunrise Pt, which is a bit higher, than Paradise, and there one can see the Cascade range all around...Its just lovely and a trip we do several times a year...
We feel lucky that Mt Rainier Park is only about 60 miles from our house...sometimes when we have nothing to do, and are itchy for a ride, we go over to Mt. Rainier...nothing like sitting up among the clouds and the mountains, to clear your thinking, and let you gaze upon some great beauty...

I figure $600 was right for Tucson (it is good porcelaine tho)
(I had asked friends here)
don't know why he's charging so much
Tucson is like New Hampshire
rent and salaries are extremely low here
he does not have expensive overhead compared to LA
(lol he told me it's cheaper than LA when I said ''looks high to me'')
rofl but I don't want to start from scratch and go thru all this again
I think I'll call some other dentists just to find out true story tho
Love, Palo
To: andysandmikesmom
you live in paradise andysmom
you are blessed to live in such a beautiful place

hi neets
I do think lots of it is scam
but I do need that one tooth
after my scene, he finally itemized charges
at least now I will just be paying for that tooth
I already shelled out $180 and just got my teeth cleaned
I'm happy to have my teeth cleaned
if $1400 is standard for my neighborhood, I'll pay it
rofl that is price the car repairs came to last year for our second hand Crysler
Love, Palo 5th Avenue
