Good evening all...the dollie orderer checking in ...dollie orderer is correct...I have just gone beserk on ebay the last couple of days, and need to knock it off for a little while

And habs talking about yummy ham and bacon...now I like ham and bacon as well as anyone..after all we just had ham for dinner today...but Fred should hopefully be safe...at least to me, once you give an animal a name, you should not eat him....

My aunt out in California used to raise calves for veal...now to get veal the calves must be sold and butchered while they are still young...and my aunt always was sad to see the animals leave on my uncles truck, because she knew they were going to be turned into veal...

But they had made the mistake of naming one of those calves 'Cid', which was my grandmothers nickname, short for Cynthia...one day my uncle loading the calves onto the truck, headed for market...soon he noticed my aunt chasing the truck down the hill...so he thought something was wrong...he stopped and waited for my aunt, who explained that she could just not part with 'Cid', it was like sending grammie to the butchers...

So, my uncle, being good hearted and understanding, let my aunt take 'Cid' off the truck and lead that happy calf back to the pasture...'Cid' lived out life peacefully, and happily, grazing in the pastures, and being spoiled and being treated like a pet...

Never again did my aunt name a calf intended to be slaughtered...

Just had dinner, honeychile.. Nice pot roast..and all the fixins... No fishing tonight, but there might be a skinny dip in my future before I crawl into bed.. We've actually had the air on for the last two days..but it's cooling off again on Thursday.

Did lots of painting today..and these tile floors are hell on my feet..and looking up doesn't do my neck much good either... It's hell to get old and need bifoculs..... lol

And you know what was worse? She said she would do that or nothing... Soooo, I will go to my husbands dentist in NH.. I just know he won't charge me 18 large... The plans she wrote up for my mouth was a quarter inch thick... lol
