This is an excellent question. I THINK it's because the screen we see is now,and on our puters, and our post is on the FR server, and to get that one, we mash the Refresh button to get it delivered back to us.

Sometimes when Helga was walking down the hall,my husband would say, she has a 'pork butt'....my aunt used to say that from the rear Helga looked like a Hippo...those bassets tend to be 'chubs'...thats because they love to eat so...

Well, I just bought another doll, and have my eye on a few more for an auction tomorrow...you are right, the skies are gray and cloudy, tho there is a little bit of sunshine peeking through...buying new dolls cheers me up...

Hi Sweetness - they kicked my a##, as per usual, but I had my moments. It's just nice being with friends that enjoy the same sort of stuff - the cocktails and the cigs don't hurt either.

I just was doing a little research about eagles, since we are all watching the eagles on the website that Westy provided us with...Here are some interesting eagle facts...

1. Eagles are monogamous and they mate for life...the only time they get a new mate, is if their former mate died...

2.Eagle build their large nests, called eyries, on the tops of tall sturdy trees...a new nest averages 2 feet deep and 5 feet wide...each year when the eagle pair returns to its nest, they always bring new materials to the nest and enlarge it, so that some older nests are 10 feet wide, and can weigh up to several tons(gaads, who'd a thunk it)If the old nest is destroyed, say in a fire, or storm, usually the eagle pair rebuild close by the old nest...the nest is lined with twigs, mosses, grasses, and feathers...

3. In the springtime, the female lays 1-3 eggs which hatch after about 35 days incubation time..Hunting, egg incubation, nest watch, eaglet brooding, and eaglet feeding are duties which are shared by both mom and dad eagle...

4. Eaglets are usually full grown and ready to fly at about the age of 12 weeks...only about 50% of eaglets born, will survive to the age of one year

And that is EagleSchool, 101, for those who are interested...so if our mama here has laid an egg, then it should be about April 25 or so, when we will have a new eaglet hatching...Oh, gosh we are all going to be eagle godparents...
