Its 5:30 now, and I just logged onto the Eaglecam....what a great shot...both eagles are sitting right in front of the camera....could not ask for any better than that...

Those eagles are tricky....I wish the other one would return...when I clicked on to that site at 5:30 or so, both of those eagles were right up front and close to the camera...they almost looked as if they were kissing, being eagle beak to eagle beak...

When I was growing up in Chicago, as a teen, I had numerous Polish friends, being that Chicago has the largest Polish population for any city, outside of Warsaw....for some reason, it was always believed that Polish people had big noses...and these two Polish friends, one a boy and one a girl, had great big noses...his nickname was Eaglebeak, and her nickname was Eaglebeak Jr...I had not thought of that for years...funny the things I remember while looking at these wonderful birds...

she has her long ears covering her eyes when she sleeps
however when she is just hanging out, she lies flat froggie
and sticks her ears out to sides

I saw an update today on the daschund who got grabbed by that hawk or eagle, or whatever big bird it was...saw it on the news...the pup is recovering from its wounds inflicted when the bird dug its talons in...had some big puncture marks...the poor pup was wearing one of those plastic hoods, to prevent her from biting her wounds which have been stitched up....she is still remaining at the vets, but her owners come and visit her every day...she will be going home in a week or so, and her family is anxious to have her home...people from around the country have sent in donations, to help defray the cost of the pups medical treatment...she is still going to need a further surgery...nice to see that she is doing well....

I thought the daschund pup would be fine, just battered bruised and traumatized
but that durned habs told me its wounds got infected
