yes the basset was named Flash
she was first basset I met
Flash rode up front with sheriff and they were always in hot pursuit of the Duke boys
I don't remember ever seeing Flash walk
for some reason sheriff always carried Flash

I saw your comment about the cat without a brain. I have to tell you that could be true. My sister had a cat that kept bumping into things and was clumsy, for a cat. She thought it had trouble seeing (she adopted it full grown).

Well, she took it to the vet for its shots, and told the vet it was clumsy. He said, "Just for fun, let's do a head x-ray," so they did. There was no brain. Just a vestigial brain stem, and a little tissue, otherwise, just fluid. Can you imagine? And the darn thing seemed so normal! It lived ten years, must have only had 8 lives.

Well, another long shift so I'm saying good night. Palo Verde, and everyone else, may your day be blessed with joy. ;-D
