A friend of my son’s got a sudden case of psoriasis in his late 20’s. It covered his body - scalp to toes. His admin was a mess and he was in terrible arthritic type pain. It was so sad to see him in such bad shape. I had no idea psoriasis could be so terrible. He’s doing much better. But, it took about a year. He still has joint pain. Can’t imagine this guy going thru that for his entire life.

Quite likely, the reason for this turnaround is an undiagnosed gastrointestinal disorder like celiac disease that leads to nutrient malabsorption and immune dysregulation. Such ailments can often be managed and sometimes healed through protein only or at least protein rich diets that eliminate gluten and other foods that the GI system may not tolerate well.

Diet is, by far, the most important component of good health. I’ve been on a keto diet for many years now. No chronic diseases or systemic health issues. No medications.

But the Lion Diet? Not for me. Boring to only eat beef. I cannot imagine life without chocolate (100% cacao of course; No sugar).

King Henry the 8th had an all meat diet. As such he had scurvy. He was called the Scurvy Nave. He had open sores on his legs where pus would leak out. My hope for the guy who is on a grass fed beef diet is that he will be able to thrive with his situation.

A severe version of this disease can exist in newborns;
It’s called the Harlequin Ichthyosis; A rare skin disorder present at birth, characterized by massive, hard, armor-like scales of skin separated by deep red cracks.
The child must inherit a mutated gene from both carrier parents in order to get this condition.
Treatment includes frequent warm baths, gentle removal of loose scales, and constant application of moisturizers.

“His current menu consists of only grass-fed ground beef and steak.”

I hope he doesn’t get bitten by a lone star tick.

Dr. Jordan Peterson adopted this same diet due to his daughter’s health problems being resolved by it.

He only eats steak. The medical community refuses to believe there’s any merit to it and insists they should be dead.

Except they’re not. Initially, her TED Talk was taken down and made unavailable....but due to her results has since made it available again.

I’m sure this guy is glad...

I used to only eat rotisserie chicken and pizza until I realized the pizza was just a delivery system for pepperoni. Now I only eat rotisserie chicken and pepperoni logs. I would buy steaks but I don’t have a good way to make them.

I had psoriasis plaques all down my arm, but now it’s just on my joints, which is the trickiest place to clear up.

If you are unable to sleep or get relief from feeling like you are one giant mosquito bite, you are going to be depressed.

Depression is often caused by a physical chronic condition.

Treat the condition and the depression lifts.

glad it worked for him, but important to realize that a lot of these ‘fad’ diets (and not using that as an insult), work not because of what you are eating, but in many cases work because of what you are *Not* eating.

i.e. the fact that he eats 100% meat, and presumably real meat, means he is not eating processed sugar, HFCS, loads of chemicals and additives, carbs etc - so in my mind people see these great results not from what they are eating, but because of what they are not eating.

It would be interesting comparison if he tried another ‘fad’ diet, i.e. vegan based on only 100% organic fruits and veggies/nuts and see if he also had great improvements in his condition and overall health.

I know people who have had great results on carnivore diets, and also people who have gone the organic veggie/fruit/nut diet...but in both cases, in order to stick to either of those 2 extremes - they gave up a lot of crap, and the lack of crap is usually what gives you the benefits.
