Tony Lee "TJ" Wiggins Jr., 32, has pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder, tampering with physical evidence and possessing a weapon as a felon. Prosecutors said Wiggins was the gunman who killed Damion Tillman, Brandon Rollins and Keven Springfield outside a Dollar General in 2020.
In his opening statement to the jury on Monday, Assistant State Attorney Ralph Guerra said Tillman went into the discount store on July 17, 2020, to buy a few items before heading out with his friends to go fishing. Guerra said surveillance video showed the defendant inside the store at the same time as Tillman. After Tillman exited, the defendant followed. Minutes later, the three victims were dead. Guerra said the three men were shot nine times and investigators collected 10 fired cartridge casings identified as TulAmmo 9 mm bullets.
The three men were connected by a truck Wiggins owned that "came into the possession" of Springfield, Guerra said. After the shooting, investigators found Wiggins' truck without an engine inside. A closer examination of the trucks the victims had been driving revealed that the engine from Wiggins' truck had been placed into Tillman's red Chevrolet truck.
When investigators interviewed Wiggins, he said that he had been in a car with his brother and girlfriend, but denied any role in the shootings. Wiggins' brother, William "Robert" Wiggins, was also arrested. In an interview with detectives, William Wiggins allegedly said that he watched his brother shoot all three victims after accusing Springfield of stealing his truck.
After the shooting, the brothers and Tony Wiggins' girlfriend drove to McDonald's, where they ordered 10 double cheeseburgers and two McChicken sandwiches, investigators said.

The three were friends with each other, not with Wiggins.
Murders three people over a truck engine and then goes to McDonalds? Can’t make this stuff up.
RE: packet charges...That would drive me to murder!
All of us have a breaking point when life gets to be too much. Sometimes the refusal of a simple condiment packet can be the point of no return. Thank goodness for mindfulness counselors. 😊

The good side is he is on the short list as a henchman for a villain in an action movie during a director’s casting call.
Guy grabbing a hostage. One shooting at cops outside the dockside warehouse.
Wouldn’t even need makeup.
Do I get a pot O gold if I catch him?
LMAO
LOL! That's a keeper!.
Gonna steal that!
Even crappy ammo will kill.
Fries come with the "Ol' Sparky" combo...
The Southern term is “poor white trash” ... but it’s not pronounced in the King’s English.
You’ll notice that nobody is out wearing blue, protesting in his favor, and making lame excuses for his crime.
Contrast that with the reaction to Lindsay Clancy murdering three little children ...
I’m sure you just forgot about that ...
I find it of great interest that he tried to cover up his crime by removing his truck engine and placing it in another vehicle. That’s like something I would think of - then I would just get the guys some happy meals and steal their truck, leaving them stranded. More fun, less jail!
6 friggen years to bring this PPS to trial?
Hungry after his crime, huh?

“Man killed 3 friends going fishing, then ordered cheeseburgers from McDonald’s: Sheriff”. ‘Gone fishin’ instead of just a wishin’.
