There are many examples of the harm these laws do. One that stands out to me is Robert Suttle. I met Robert last year when he was a guest on my cable access TV broadcast, The Recruiters with Tom Duane. In 2008, Robert was arrested at his workplace after a former partner accused him of failing to disclose his HIV status. Robert countered that he had disclosed his status and that the sex was consensual. Also, no HIV transmission occurred. Robert accepted a plea deal and served six months in a Louisiana prison. He was also required to register as a sex offender for 15 years.
The consequences extended beyond incarceration. Robert described losing his career and dealing with the effects of being labeled a convicted felon and sex offender. He is now a prominent advocate against HIV criminalization.

Most recently, it's been 'stigma' that has them all in a twitter. As if that can be controlled.
Most stigma is well earned.
Their questionnaire now is full of questions about sexual activity in the past 3 months trying to weed out people who might transmit HIV. I don't know if 3 months is a long enough time frame.

How many high risk homos got sick pleasure knowing their donated blood would infect innocent people? Like Ryan White. It is not any irrational phobia NPT wanting AIDS infected blood from a homo or a junkie.
The homos look at a gross hairy anus with the hygiene of a Honey Bucket at a chili cookoff and get turned on by that. There is no way to ever understand that.
In my case I was specially included for giving blood to premature babies, because I did not have a particular antibody and, therefore could not be a carrier of a certain disease. I am O-Negative and a universal donor. I gave up that volunteer activity when I moved but had made 152 whole blood donations by then.
Heck... First time I went to give blood they rejected me because I had dental work a month prior. But now;
“Are you a junkie homo that has unprotected gay sex in Haiti?”

I think we agree but having trouble with words. If you know you got it and still have some kind of sexual contact, obviously you are taking a chance at spreading it to your partner which is basically murdering that person.
