A truck packed with 40,000 pounds of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer vanished in California and police claim the missing haul could be part of a brazen cargo-theft operation that made off with roughly $70,000 in booze in a single morning.

Pabst Blue Ribbon said its truck and beer shipment were stolen, telling the person behind the disappearance that it understood the temptation to brag about having that much PBR, but wished they had gotten it "the honorable way."

Got to wonder if the beer truck tail gunner was off duty the day that happened.

Take it to the Mexico side of the border and give it away to any “migrants” returning home.

Belgian monk beer can be quite good. Not a Stella fan, might as well drink Mich Ultra. Which has its place, but it’s not something I seek out.

I was stationed at Wildflecken, Germany, 1975-1976, on a Brigade 75 assignment from Fort Hood, Texas. Our barracks was had a soda/beer dispenser in the hallway. I started drinking PBR during that tour because it usually was the only beer in the dispensing machine, and that has been has been my go-to beer since that time (and still is).

You need help my friend, serious help. Might I suggest a trip from Seattle down to Oregon stopping at many fine Micro Breweries and sampling their many fine IPAs. You could write it off your income tax as medical therapy. You could do the same in the Texas Hill Country.

Have a good day my friend and LOL.

In the movie, when they start out for Texarkana the lyric is west bound and down.

The trip west was short on screen. The rest was going back.

Thankfully, all thieves who fail to restore their victims will go to hell. Clearly.

Once you start the evening with Pabst, you can’t switch to another brand. Pabst genetically alters the taste buds and everything else tastes like sucking on an old copper penny.

Red, White and Blue? Instant recollection of those North Kakalackey Junior College daze of my Yute... IIRC Ace Beer in the 1 gallon jug was waaay worse...

Yes, they still make it - and it ain’t all that bad.
Try it ice cold after a sweaty day of hard work, and I’ll bet you’ll enjoy it more than, say, a pricey Stella Artois.

“They still make PBR??? Why?”

Perhaps because it was the only one referred to by its initials for over a century and then some (since 1844)?

Kind of like a “15” - the Polish version of a 7 and 7...🥸

I can say that because my paternal Grandparents’ name ended with a “ski” before they came through Ellis Island.

I work at a sports bar in Northern Commiefornia that serves 55 beers. PBR used to be one of them. I don't know why we stopped carrying it but I can tell you after a long, hot day of work (yes!, you can work up a sweat working in a sports bar!), I don't think I ever had a PBR. I preferred a Scrimshaw or Great White or Pivo Pils or Shiner Bock.

I'm just messin' around. I got nothing against PBR. I grew up on Olympia and Rainier and Lucky for goodnesssakes. . Bleah.
