A Bronx judge found a mother of two suffering from postpartum psychosis not guilty of killing her young children in 2022 — while jurors in Massachusetts are in the middle of deliberating a similar fate for Lindsay Clancy.
Dimone Fleming, 26, was found not responsible by mental disease or defect in court on Monday for the deaths of her two children, 3-year-old Daishawn Fleming and 11-month-old Octavius Canada, at a Bronx family shelter, the New York Times reported.
On the night of the gruesome killings, Fleming was “grossly psychotic and out of touch with reality,” according to psychiatrist Dr. Eric Goldsmith.
Goldsmith, who evaluated Fleming at the request of the prosecution, said she was hallucinating, convinced that the world was coming to an end and believed a spirit had invaded her body.
Similarly, “Ms. Fleming believed her actions were necessary to protect or ‘cleanse’ her children,” according to a forensic psychiatrist report written by doctors hired by the defense.
Before the killings, Fleming had been treated at a Queens hospital for two months, where she was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and prescribed psychotropic medication, the Times reported, citing court records.
But the mother of two did not take her medication as prescribed and instead used marijuana daily — which reportedly exacerbated her mental health symptoms.
Mental examinations ordered by both the prosecution and defense determined Fleming was in a state of psychosis at the time of the bloody killings.

Clancy’s lawyer(Cant stand that turd) said that Clancy is a strong supporter of “womens rights” that is why the left supports her, she is one of them, probably Clancy herself has been to plenty of No Kings protests, they all support the same thing abortion til birth, and abortion AFTER birth as well..heck kill your 10 yr old why not, my body my choice

Back when our twins were little I (Dad) spent a lot of time with them to give mom a break. Going lots of places in the minivan rather than my own car. And going on very little sleep.
I went to the store one time taking the van. Put the stuff in the back, got in and drove off. About a block away I glanced in the mirror and saw the two empty baby seats.
“Oh no! I forgot the girls!!”
Oh wait - they are still at home, I didn’t bring them to the store! It took only an instant for perceived tragedy to come and go, but I can still feel it in my gut some 30 years later.
That defense attorney for this Clancy woman stated in his closing aguments of what a wonderful mom she was.
Nah, she was just a selfish killer pretending to be a Mom.

Oh, that brought tears. God bless that mother where she now is, and God bless her little girls. May they rise to her example of courage and selflessness.
Yeah, it is good to hear about a real mother and her loving sacrifice for her child.

The US DOJ Division of Civil Rights should look into this verdict. The childrens’ rights were definitely violated, not only by the mother but by the state too.
In the case of the woman who killed her two children the children have black names. Likely the baby daddy is black and she had no help with the kids. Not an excuse but a possibility of a contributing factor.

This is disgusting and will become a social contagion on the left - There will be rises in infanticide and filicide.
Postpardum depression often turns into neglect, but rarely is violent or murderous. Cases like this are going to give women who are already unstable the excuse to take their supposed grievances a step further and end them.
Hell is too good for women like these. I can’t have children of my own, so this infuriates me.
A friend of my future husband is having a hard time with his childrens’ mother. They’re separated, and she is using his care for the kids to prevent him from working and making money so he can try to gain custody while she sleeps around with people she doesn’t even know. Any time he needs her to watch the kids, she’ll take them and leave them with toxic (I don’t exaggerate) family members; felons, drug addicts, and spiteful women. She doesn’t tell him that’s what she’s doing, he hears it from the kids afterwards. She knows rather than risk his children being with her family, he’d rather have them, thus unable to go to work. She has admitted this in text messages.
She’s threatened to kill them and has already lost custody of one from a prior relationship due to her behavior. He tried to get a TRO put into place which was denied, and local family law told him they can’t help him, presumably because she already retained them. Now he needs to find pro-bono lawyers further from home... It’s a mess.
As my previous comment, this will be normalized. It’s horrific.
