U.S. — A popular dating app announced a new feature that would allow men to filter out women who support accused child murderer Lindsay Clancy.
OkCupid developers announced the new addition to the app after men expressed a desire for a product that would allow them to be paired with women who don't empathize with a woman on trial for murdering her three young children.
"It's a pretty simple concept, really," OkCupid spokesman Mark Sidwell explained. "There are a lot of men out there who would rather not waste their time with women who think the patriarchy is responsible for a woman murdering her kids or similar actions. Our app helps pair them with women who aren't crazy."
The updated version of the app aimed to help men in the dating world screen for suitable women who don't think it's understandable to kill your kids if you have a case of the blues.
"We've already received overwhelmingly positive feedback for the update," Sidwell said. "It's been out for about two hours. I think there's a real demand from men who want to date women who don't rationalize infanticide. It's a great way to determine if a woman is, as they say, 'wife material.'"
At publishing time, developers were also considering adding filters for women who think Luigi Mangione is attractive, women who voted for Kamala Harris, and women who follow Candace Owens.
Ah, yes, that rings a bell. I didn't attend MIT myself; I lived in Philly and went to Drexel. But my buddy from high school was at MIT and I drove up to visit a few times over the years. Interesting times.
I didn’t know until 2 weeks ago either until nurses on my floor were talking furiously about the case and I asked what they were talking about and they gave me their opinions about the husband “brain washing his wife into killing her kids. “She’s gonna go to prison while he gets off scot free!”,,huffed one strong voiced nurse...also known on the unit for speaking freely about her ADD and the precise cocktail of meds it takes to keep her stable and nice to her own daughter. She is of course divorced but both have a working arrangement in their shared custody. Others of course nodded in agreement with her including one male RN, who was straight but should have turned in his male card with his own strong opinions against the husband surfaced.
I of course was asking questions...”didn’t hear about the case, what was her name, what forensics have been unearthed by police and prosecutors that exonerate the husband?” So I looked into the case and saw that the prosecution appears to have her dead to rights in terms of guilt in the case and the husband innocent. The defense of course has gambled on a mental scrambled egg of sanity approach, saying multiple meds and faulty mental health monitoring by doctors and yes the husband and family must be a mitigating factor in the eventual outcome of the case.
My co-workers want the husband strung up, too...male patriarchy and all that! These are folks 23 to 40 in age.
The thing I have noticed is the surprising mute approach by the mainstream media toward this case compared to other past sensational cases. My own conspiracy instincts suggest this is an electoral nightmare in terms of conservative response if this case was pushed too much into the midterms.
Just a few days ago some one on Freeperville posted a article about a mother just arrested for slitting the throats of her three children though one did survive. Hardly a peep from the usual suspect mainstream liberal media. Some comments on line were made about how up to full term abortion rights might be crossing over into acceptable infanticide.
