Jury in Lindsay Clancy murder trial asks question
WJAR-TV 10 NBC ^

PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WJAR) — The jury deliberating in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial in Plymouth Superior Court had a question Friday, but it was not immediately clear what they asked.

Live coverage of the Lindsay Clancy murder trial.

Court came back into session a little after 10 a.m., and the question was apparently discussed and answered at sidebar.

The judge made no mention of it, and court went back into recess as deliberations continue.

Clancy of Duxbury, Massachusetts, is on trial in the strangulation deaths of her three young children -- Cora, Dawson and Callan -- in 2023.

The central question is whether the jury believes she knew what she was doing on the night of the killings.

Her defense says her actions were affected by postpartum psychosis.

The jury can decide if Clancy is not guilty, not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility, guilty of first-degree murder, guilty of second-degree murder or guilty of manslaughter.

A not guilty by reason of insanity verdict would see her remain under psychiatric care. Any of the three criminal convictions would result in prison.

Nine women and three men are deciding the case. They were randomly chosen from the 18 jurors seated for the trial.

Most normal people would believe the taking the life of an innocent person as an act of an insane person.

Nope...not true. There are,I suspect, cases (perhaps including this one) where a person kills another person because of the chemical imbalance I spoke of. But there are many, many cases where a person is killed by someone who is just basically evil. Hitler...Mao...Ted Bundy being just three examples. Those three weren't even slightly "insane". They were, most assuredly, thoroughly depraved.

Yeah I have ZERO faith in a jury in Commiechusetts..these women after all all meet up at the No Kings protests..they see Lindsay Clancy as a hero who “My Body My Choice” slaughtered her children, instead of the womb she did it when they were already born..Clancy is no different than Diane Downs, but in commies minds Diane Downs is a hero too

Someone was on Newsmax last night discussing those women, they are the ones that you would see at your typical No Kings protest so this for them is a reunion

Well, her defense is that she was mentally ill and.therefore, not criminally responsible. IIRC her specific defense is something along the lines of "post partum depression".

True story: when I was a kid (many years ago) I got a job working for the neuropathologist at a world famous hospital. The man was brilliant! At that time my Mom was being evaluated for what turned out to be a brain tumor. I asked him about it and he tried to explain the different things we were being told. To wrap up his explanation he said that "scientists know more about the surface of the moon than they know about the human brain".

The man here did not kill the children. He has not been charged with killing the children. There is no proof or any information he had any affair or any thing of the kind. The police definitely would have looked into whether either Clancy parent had any affairs going on. If it were true, it would be evidence in the trial.

No person from either family claimed anything like that may be true either. If it were true, the defense would have used it to create more sympathy for Lindsay. “Poor woman, just had baby and cheating husband, caused her to lose her mind”

We already know what happened in that house. She made the food order and sent him to CVS to get him out of the house. When he couldn’t find what she wanted at the CVS, he called home, she answered and told him all was fine.

Stuff people hear on the internet that may make anyone think otherwise if pure stupid speculation.

None of that matters because no matter what, she has already admitted that she killed the kids and it looked like a short term planned event.

Yup. One of the many many doctors I have talked to in the last 10 years was straight up honest about it. He was originally from Egypt and had worked around the world and seen a lot of stuff. He basically said...People think we know everything. We actually know very little.

She murdered her children because she was getting mental health treatment. You find in every one of these insane murder cases. Mass shootings. Etc. That the perp is already on violence inducing psychiatric drugs. Every mucking time. This insane violence was virtually unheard of before shrinks started hanging out meds like candy. Just like child suicide was unheard of before they started handing out drugs to children. The connection is clear.

I haven’t been following the trial closely. But on a podcast this morning I did hear the Prosecutor’s closing argument, and I felt ill. I cried, and I don’t cry often.

There is no answer to any question that could excuse what she did.

Men and women are different
We used to acknowledge that as objective truth

Men have allowed women to the position in western civilization they occupy

People can draw their own conclusion

I have mine but it took maturity to get here

She sent her husband away so she could murder their kids. Even called him to give him something else to do to give her more time to brutally murder their children.

Just like the Yates bitch and the Smith bitch all should be drawn and quartered in the public square.

But civilization has become too weak to do that.

There would never be a group of men who supported a man for killing his children, ever.

Yeah, there are.

Some even post here on FR.

She never had been diagnosed with post patient depression before the murders. It was a convenient narrative that popped up later.

They had a nanny. How stressed could she have been? Nanny-less mothers have eight kids and don’t commit murder.

The amount of planning and thoughtfulness involved is 1st degree murder.

If she had issues coping, why didn’t she just kill HERSELF?

“It’s clear that she’s beyond remorseful. She’s utterly destroyed and will probably take herself out the moment she is able.”

That isn’t my impression; she seems cold to me.

Her plans aren’t to “take herself out”. She’s already planning to participate in wheelchair races.

I didn’t know that, but I do believe it.

I thin you are so right.

The women supporting this murderess are despicable and dangerous. If any of them have children, the children should be taken from them.
