My first job out of college was on Ocean Park Blvd. in Santa Monica. We’d head to the pier or the promenade for lunch. That was back in the ‘90s, and that’s not the Santa Monica of 2026. A shame what’s happened to it.

Why be pro deadly violence on popular tourist spot by criminals do what give them a talking to.
When I was 18-19 in the late 60’s and early 70’s, my friend and I would drive in from Fullerton to Santa Monica to play pick-up football games on the wide grass median between PCH and Ocean Blvd. These games were “no pads tackle” with some unspoken gentlemen’s rules. Multi-ethnic. Intense and high quality games - but never any fights.
I wouldn’t even think of trying that today!

And just think.... if these same leftists that are running and ruining formerly nice/safe cities like Santa Monica get their way... the entire nation will be “fundamentally transformed” into that same “violent tourist hotspot” for anyone with a death wish.
