Michigan Voters Are JUMPING SHIP — Democrat Voters Vow to BACK Mike Rogers Over Socialist Abdul El-Sayed

Democrat voters in Michigan are jumping ship in droves after radical progressive Abdul El-Sayed narrowly clinched the Democratic Senate nomination Tuesday night.

Even loyal MS NOW viewers and self-described liberals are openly declaring they will not vote for the socialist-backed candidate and will instead support Republican Mike Rogers in November.

MS NOW host Chris Jansing herself reported the stunning defection:

"And I want to tell you really quickly, as I was getting on the plane this morning, A guy who was a big fan of MSNOW said to me, 'I'm anxious to see who wins... I voted for Haley Stevens … because of Israel. And I don't like the position that Abdullah Al-Sayed has on Israel. And in fact, if he wins, I will be voting for Mike Rogers.'"

That was not an isolated comment. Michigan Democrat Dave Tigay put it bluntly: “I will not vote Democrat. I’LL SWITCH OVER!”

Another Democrat voter was equally clear: “I am VERY concerned about the socialist aspect of Abdul… I’m a liberal, NOT a socialist.”

🚨 WOW! MSNOW is now PANICKING after Democrat voters told her they're voting Mike Rogers (R) because Abdul El Sayed (D) became the MI Senate nominee

"Some Democrats I've talked to...on the plane this morning a guy said to me, 'I'm anxious...' he said, 'I voted for Haley… https://t.co/MweVr8G4bb pic.twitter.com/iuEXdhiAyL

The backlash is real. El-Sayed, the former Wayne County health official and Bernie Sanders/AOC favorite who has called for Medicare for All, abolishing ICE, and cutting off aid to Israel while labeling its actions a “genocide,” just edged out moderate Rep. Haley Stevens in one of the most expensive and bitter Democrat primaries in history.

1. IF the dems think that is costing them winnable elections, then it might be the only way to get the traditional, moderate dems to regain their party.

2. They can't do it with the current cast of characters - even I feel younger when I look at current dem leadership

3. "Traditional, moderate" dems and their voters are going to have to look at how often those traditional, moderate dems vote exactly like democrat socialists and ask themselves, "is this in the best interest of America to adopt this policy?" Maybe they need to be more American, but that's just one person's input.

To paraphrase P.J. O’Rourke, “liberalism is just socialism sold by the drink.”

“Yeah...not sure I believe this.”

Yeah, GP looking for clicks, as usual.

Sure *some* people will change their vote, but that’s not news.

I personally think a lot more mudslinging against el-Sayad will be required in answer to his mudslinging (”I am here to overcome Trump’s fascism”) before a large contingent will vote GOP. But getting them to stay home for the election would be a great help. I’ve heard vague talk of Jewish Michiganders withdrawing support from their suicidal tendencies to always vote Dem.

Big problem. “You know what I heard? el-Sayad hates Trump.” “Yeah? Well then he’s got my vote. How do I register?”

Liberalism is socialism sold by the drink. Socialism is Communism sold by the drink.

I expect to see El-Sayed walking back (clarifying?) some of his most extreme positions, beginning soon. Isn't that the normal course of a dem campaign, to move to the center after the primaries?

If he won't or can't moderate his views, he could end up being another Biden, or Swalwell, or Platner --- picked by the primary voters but suddenly not the candidate anymore. Sometimes I think the DNC prefers to pick the candidates, rather than letting the people do it.

At any rate, it's all poll-driven to them --- if he can't win, under the bus he goes.

If I was Haley I'd keep my calendar open for a while.

“Sometimes I think the DNC prefers to pick the candidates, rather than letting the people do it.”

That’s the way it used to be. Primaries are a modern 20th century invention............

Trump never said he would stop Islam. What he said was US will not get involved in starting foreign wars.

Democrats are incorrigible. They are not going to be voting for a Republican, but some will stay away from the polls election day. I’ll take it. Hopefully, that’s enough to get the Republican Rogers elected.

Republicans are terrible at Get Out The Vote. Always have been. When they don’t show up at the polls the Democrats win by default..............

Everything depends on the polls.

If the polls show him winning by a good margin, then the Democrat establishment will back him.
If the polls show him taking a dive, the establishment will find a way to dump him (like the way they did to Platner). Someone will dig up some dirt that does the job.

The polls previous to primary election showed El-Sayed with a commanding lead. Then the actual votes were counted and he just barely won. He won by a plurality, not a majority. Polling is useless........

BRAVE AI:

Abdul El-Sayed received 742,017 votes (48.48%) in the Michigan Democratic Senate primary, defeating Rep. Haley Stevens by a margin of fewer than 15,000 votes. The Associated Press called the race on Wednesday morning with 99% of ballots counted, marking a narrow victory in a contest that saw over 1.5 million total votes cast.

Opponent’s Count: Haley Stevens finished with 727,091 votes (47.51%).

Other Candidates: Former state Senator Mallory McMorrow, who suspended her campaign prior to the election, received 61,344 votes (4.01%).

Significance: The win positions El-Sayed to face Republican Mike Rogers in November for the seat being vacated by retiring Senator Gary Peters.

Yeah that little trivial swap of the letter a for the letter e as in the Arabic al Sayad to the romantic Spanish el Sayad. Ironically the Castillian Spanish language is a combination of a Latin language with Arabic.

which is why is suspect the GOP has kept its El-Sayed powder dry until AFTER he was nominated ... i expect we’ll see a steady drip, drip, drip of really nasty shite come out about El-Sayed between now and November ...
