A prominent black Big Apple politician compared Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s cronies in the Democratic Socialists of America to white supremacists as a bitter rift among Democrats spilled out onto social media.
Queens Borough President Donovan Richards went in on the DSA’s longstanding complaint among minority lawmakers of ignoring race in its crusade to grow its ranks and dismantle capitalism.
“White supremacy comes in all forms,” Richards posted on social media late Sunday.
The slap erupted from an debate online after a report in the New York Times that highlighted how the extreme left wing of the Democratic Party focuses on furthering the group’s agenda and largely has blinders on when it comes to black and Latino members and issues important to them in the five boroughs.
A DSA state Assemblymember, Phara Souffrant Forrest, attacked the Times reporter and whined that the story omitted that a black member of the group has repped one of the nabes mentioned — seemingly without fully reading the story.
Richards had responded after another journalist pointed out the article had already addressed her complaint.
He then doubled down on the accusation, sharing a Maclom X quote that called white liberals “dangerous foxes, who also show their teeth to the Negro but pretend that they are smiling.”
“The white liberals are more dangerous than the conservatives; they lure the Negro, and as the Negro runs from the growling wolf, he flees into the open jaws of the “smiling” fox,” the quote said.

Which, by the way, happened on the first day of National Brotherhood Week.
“repped one of the nabes” must be shop talk among members of the professional political class.
Malcolm X knew the white liberal elites of Hyde Park and he was not impressed.
Nothing says brotherhood like a hail of lead during a speaking engagement.
Not just white liberals dangerous all of them are.
Comrades use more than one angles and names to attack things.
Mr. Richards evidently doesn’t understand how communism works.
The elites (whites in this case) are the leaders. They come up with policy and the doctrine. “Workers of the world, unite!”, and all that.
Everyone else is tool for that elite.
Come on, Mr. Richards. Grab a history book, will ya?
Malcolm X was very dangerous to the liberals/leftists—he was on to their hypocrisy.
If blacks became economically self sufficient that would take power from the bureaucracies and charities that leftists control.
The white liberal is the worst enemy to America and the Black man. - Malcolm X
Bonus quote:
The Civil War was fought on this continent, but not to free the Black slaves as is commonly taught in the white man’s schools. The Civil War was actually fought to preserve the Union, to keep the country intact for white people. - Malcolm X
I can’t tell if this suffers from typos, is a new form of Ebonics, or if I’m visually impaired. Can anyone help a brother out here?
Best scene in the Malcolm X movie was where the idiot white liberal college girl asks Malcolm what she can do to help, and Malcolm responds, “Nothing.”
The commies won’t have a chance on the Dem line if they lose the Black vote.
Think strategically, not tactically. This is a wedge issue.
Radical lesbian feminists aren't our friends, but they can be allies in our fight against those pushing trans issues.
This gentleman isn't our friend, but he can be our ally in the fight against the communist revolutionaries. He wants a bigger slice of the pie, he doesn't want the pie to disappear.
Malcolm X was a little more circumspect in his comment than was another Black revolutionary.
“A woman’s place in the revolution is on her back” - Stokely Carmichael of the SNCC.
“Comedians, comics, trumpet players, baseball players. Show me in the white community where a comedian is a white leader.”
It’s true, that white liberals love to portray black celebrities and athletes as black “leaders”.
As their notoriety increased, Malcolm became less radical whereas Martin became more influenced by the left.
