Eating a diet high in fruits and vegetables was found to have a surprising link to lung cancer among younger non-smokers, early research suggests.
The observational study, led by Jorge Nieva, M.D., of the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center at Keck Medicine, was presented this month at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) annual meeting in San Diego. It has not yet been peer-reviewed. Researchers looked at dietary, smoking and demographic data for 187 patients who were diagnosed with lung cancer at age 50 or younger.
They found that among non-smokers, there was a link between healthier-than-average diets – rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains – and the chance of lung cancer development. Young lung cancer patients ate more servings of dark green vegetables, legumes and whole grains compared to the average U.S. adult, the researchers found.

Clot shot causes cancer.
Medical establishment fabricates other causes.
Yeah, blame pesticides not COVID vaccines as well as ignoring the powerful deterrent nicotine has against both CANCER AND COVID ITSELF. Remember Biden wanted to BAN nicotine? Because nicotine COMBATS COVID that’s why!
It’s an observational study and means pretty much nothing.
Unwad your panties.
...One more study which compares cancer results of people who eat sugar vs people who eat fruit.
Hello. They’re the same.
“Cancer hates nicotine.”
Not according to AI:
Nicotine is generally classified as a tumor promoter rather than a direct initiator of cancer, meaning it does not typically cause the initial DNA mutations that start cancer but significantly accelerates the growth, spread, and severity of existing tumors.
Research indicates that nicotine facilitates cancer progression through several mechanisms:
Cell Proliferation and Survival: It activates nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) and β-adrenergic receptors, triggering signaling pathways (such as PI3K/Akt and MAPK) that increase cell division and inhibit apoptosis (programmed cell death).
Metastasis and Invasion: Nicotine promotes epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and enhances cell motility, allowing cancer cells to invade surrounding tissues and spread to other organs like the lungs and brain.
Angiogenesis: It stimulates the formation of new blood vessels, which supply tumors with the oxygen and nutrients needed for rapid growth.
Treatment Resistance: Exposure to nicotine can reduce the effectiveness of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, leading to higher rates of tumor recurrence and decreased survival in cancer patients.
I’ve been smoking same numbers of years and stuffing my cigs with machine same numbers of years. Cost/pack around 1.25 which includes tubes, tobacco, and shipping. Better cigs too.
Smokers of the world unite :)!
