Politics Trump says U.S. will seize Kharg Island and other ‘oil infrastructure points’
CNBC ^ | June 11, 2026 | Kevin Breuninger

The U.S. military will attack Iran “VERY HARD TONIGHT,” and will soon take over the country’s “oil infrastructure points,” President Donald Trump said Thursday.

An operation to “assume total control” of Iran’s oil and gas markets and infrastructure, including taking Kharg Island, will occur “at some point in the not too distant future,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

And if they mobilize defensive resources and platforms, we ‘attrit’ them. Immediately. 😉

Ok thx. It amazes me that our President thinks he will be the first person ever to be able to negotiate with a suicide bomber. I wish him well though.

The point of this is to make Iranians freak out and ignore what he’s doing with his other hand.

It’s basically the shell game or a carnival magician.

I see you are also freaking out and distracted by the side show.

So, over the weekend, everybody was bitching about this (including you), and I said we were at the end of the 60 days cease fire (Tuesday I think) and since Iran hasn’t come to terms, the cease fire would end (feel free to look it up). And here it is Thursday and Iran was bombed fairly heavily yesterday.

Tell me, when did Trump get from 2-3/4 to 3? Because he got to 3.

But you keep it up. It’s funny to watch.

Yes I have seen that. It is why this one perplexed me. Only thing I can think of is we must be very, very close to a finale?

Keeping Kharg operational is essential for world energy supplies, our gas prices, mid-term elections, Trump’s agenda, but also Iran’s future..

...would Iran dare destroy their own future to remove US occupiers of the island ?
Destruction would result in ruination of all their oil wells

Imagine if Reagan had to deal with the FReyores negative garbage:

During Ronald Reagan’s first four years in office (1981–1985), the U.S. economy faced a severe initial recession before experiencing a robust recovery driven by his Reaganomics framework.

The administration’s focus on supply-side economics led to record-high interest rates, a sharp drop in inflation, and a dramatic pivot in job growth.Key economic indicators during this period included:Initial Recession & Peak Unemployment:
To break the cycle of stagflation, the Federal Reserve implemented tight monetary policies, which triggered a deep recession in 1981 and 1982.

Unemployment surged from about 7.5% in early 1981 to a post-war high of nearly 10.8% in late 1982.Inflation Reduction:

One of the most significant successes of this era was taming hyperinflation. Inflation dropped from roughly 13.5% in 1980 to around 4% by 1984

Trump is negotiating.

While he is. negotiating he is taking out Iran’s defensive. and. offensive capaibility.

The plan is to take Karg island without much resistant and little pushback afterwards.

That’s the prudent way to do it. so you can figure that’s the way they will do it.

Well, for starters, of course. But unlike with Reagan, who simply had Democrats who thought what he was doing was wrong and opposed him, Trump has Democrats who are using every ounce of authority they have at the federal, state, and local level to trash the economy to blame it on Trump.

But the idiots around here are quick to blame Trump.

I had an argument with some moron farmers here in Virginia about how terrible their lives have become because USAID isn’t buying their product anymore and diesel and fertilizer costs are up because of Iran.

Well, duh, and ALMOST EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY in Latin and South America has had an election since USAID was shut down and every single Socialist tinpot dictator was ousted in favor of a right-wing Capitalist. You think that’s a coincidence? And you want to focus on diesel and fertilizer costs? Sure, fine, what were they in 2022 and 2023? So shutup. And what about the rest of your costs? Total energy costs UNRELATED to Iran are up 25% in Virginia because Spanberger put us back into the RGGI - and you dumbasses came out for Spanberger last November to “show Trump” and then you almost had your representation in DC taken away by Spanberger.

Morons!

So, yeah, Orange Man Bad.

Morons!

And, I should add, Democrats have laid on a whole host of new taxes on Virginians on top of ratcheting up energy costs - so they can say “Trump isn’t making things more affordable.” And the idiots that live around me lap it up.

But you know what Democrats say - if the boot fits, lick it.
