California’s revolt: Spencer Pratt, Steve Hilton stun Democrats in early result shake-up
California Post ^ | 6/03/26 | Josh Koehn

Posted on 06/04/2026 12:23:45 PM PDT by Libloather

California voters frustrated by the routine failures of state and local leadership look set to send Spencer Pratt and Steve Hilton to runoff elections for mayor and governor after the first few ballot drops.

In a major rebuke of Democratic rule in both Los Angeles and the state, both Pratt and Hilton held their positions steady Wednesday night. Hilton remained in the lead for the governor’s race with 27.6% of the vote and Xavier Becerra was in second place with 25.6% with 56% of the ballots counted.

Pratt remained in second place with 29.91% of the vote behind incumbent Mayor Karen Bass at 34.97%. Nithya Raman trailed Pratt in third place with 22.81%.

Pratt, who rose to fame as the bad boy in MTV’s show “The Hills,” is nipping at the heels of Bass — all but assuring the two will meet again in November’s general election. Pratt trailed Bass by fewer than 27,000 votes with 63% of the ballots counted, according to the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder.

Matthew Klink, a conservative political strategist in Los Angeles, told The Post that Pratt has a real chance if his “clever” campaign — fueled by inventive AI videos and street art exposing the city’s blight and corruption — continues to pour it on thick and avoid the status quo of policy papers and canned statements.

Pratt’s persistent banging of the drum on public safety issues and the lackluster response to the deadly LA wildfires made a mark.

“More than 60% of city of Los Angeles voters chose another candidate than the mayor,” Klink said, noting lefty Councilmember Nithya Raman’s ability to also siphon votes while currently sitting in third place.

“Clearly, Bass is vulnerable.”

Bass should retire to her favorite commie island. Better make it quick to get all the benefits from those commie credits. Do they have trouble keeping water in the Cuban hydrants? Could be risky.

Not so fast, California Post. The race isn’t over until all the mail-in votes are counted and that won’t happen for another month. I’m sure that by then, the Dems will have found a way to edge the two of them out of the runoff.

Wonder if the conservatives will revolt over the losses if the miraculous boxes of uncounted ballots turn the race to all Dem victories.

In the 1990s talk shows like the original McLaughlin Group the “liberals” cruelly made remarks about “Hey, are the country clubs going to have riots, now?” when criminal thugs got off in the faulty legal system and laughed at the accusers as they left the courtrooms.

It is tricky in the case of Pratt. Bass is in, and somehow the new votes would have to go to Raman. The difference between Raman and Pratt is substantial, with Pratt having about 25% of the vote more than Raman.

Sadly I’d be very surprised if either of them even get over 40% in the fall.

And with today’s voter drop at 4pm, Pratt will drop to 3rd place and will be kicked out of the running. The Fix is already in, they were NEVER going to allow Pratt to get in, to reveal ALL the fraud, NO WAY, and just watch, Raman, the abolish ICE, abolish police, love Hamas prick might become Mayor, she could beat Bass, so as bad as Bass in, we could get worse

Unfortunately true. The only potential positive is perhaps it allows a GOP Congressional flip in the state based on rising voter awareness.

Polymarket has Raman with a 79 percent chance of making it to round 2..so yes they are expecting her to get all the votes and Pratt gets nothing

I would like to think that the DOJ would have set up ways to observe fraud, or traps to catch people committing fraud, or wiretaps or surveillance schemes to hear people planning fraud. The Feds know when an election is coming up, they know that fraud is likely, I would hope that they would take steps to catch bad guys.

But it just doesn’t happen.

When the votes are ALL counted, Pratt will come in third.

Those of us Republicans who live here care very much. Sick of the vote fraud with no ability to stop it.

Move to Orange County or Ventura. Your city is a dumpster fire, no saving it. It’s filled with illegals, hipsters, degenerates, and clueless nepo baby movie industry dolts. Let it burn. That includes Malibu, Westlake Village/The Canyons, and the San Fernando Valley

I kind of agree with your thinking, except I live here(Well I live in Beverly Hills we have our own mayor) but I still have to see the streets of LA, and the way things are, when something happens, I say the same thing “I dont give a sh*t anymore” let it burn

and we cant do a damn thing about it either, we just have to choke on it and accept it. My sister lives in Calabasas to get away from LA, she couldnt stomach it anymore and my brother moved to Irvine but the city criminals went to Irvine so its really not that much better now

You think so? So how come Polymarket and Kalshi are saying the exact opposite, whose betting on Raman to get the 2nd slot?
