Comparisons to “Solo” are particularly telling. That film disappointed in 2018, yet current adjusted figures show “The Mandalorian and Grogu” falling short even of that benchmark. International totals hover around $63 million for the opening, insufficient to guarantee profitability without exceptional word-of-mouth.
With theaters demanding their cut, breaking even requires the film to approach half a billion worldwide—a tall order given current trajectories.

That’s a selling point. Pedro Pascal is a human flop machine. His last 5 movies
Mando and Grok - soon to be flop
Materialists - Nobody saw it
Eddington - flop
Fantastic Four - flop
Gladiator 2 - flop
And he’s gay.
You were smart for bailing. Wish I had.
Pedro Pascal fatigue is real.

100%. Took long enough...
Lose money on Star Wars?? Well, blow me down!
Me too. They completed the transformation into a pathetic pagan religion.
I have two words for Disney. Kathleen Kennedy.
You idiots broke the multibillion dollar Star Wars franchise with your woke feminazi BS. Its up to you to fix it now.
It’s not remotely woke. It’s basically a Clint Eastwood spaghetti western in space.
Strong male characters. In fact, pretty much only male characters.
Morals about a father teaching his son how to be an old school honorable man.
Lots of killing of bad guys.
Fun.
My entire family loved it. Best movie I’ve seen in years.
He gets about 2 minutes of screen time.
It’s some other guy in the suit for 99% of the movie.
Kennedy was asked to resign last December and is long gone.
Star Wars has been played out for decades.
The less Pascal the better. Won’t save this dog though.
Yes but her fingerprints are all over the ruin of the franchise. This movie was made before she stepped down. She picked her successor. This is her mess.
I want to see a AI made mash up movie where humans the Tauri(Stargate) use their Asgard(the Grey’s) hyperdrive tech given to them by the dying Asgards to cross the whole universe in weeks to a galaxy far far away. Then go about taking on the Empire with what is effectively sub space blink drives billions of times the speed of light. With Stargate ancient City sized ships with wormhole instant drives, zero point subspace energy sources and beam weapons that can cut through any shields. Tauri blew up a solar system with zero point energy cannon was a light year radius.
The Empire would be crushed in days if not hours. Pesky humans with Grey tech.
There will be a point where you can simply ask the AI hive mind to make this movie and it will scan the original images and make it in real time for your viewing pleasure. It’s coming it’s only how long till.
Trek fans always go after Star Wars fans in the what if the two meet up and battled I am like forget that I am bringing Stargate to the party with wormhole drives , Stargates and ship transporting Supergates, multiple billion C sub space untouchable hyperdrives , where you can jump through a planet or a star in the other dimensional plane. Zero point universe scale energy sources that if your not careful and overload one or on purpose it obliterates a light year radius of space time.
Both Star Wars and Trek get crushed by such forces. I am not a popular guy on the Reddit fan mash up boards. Ha
The former Star Wars fan base has become apathetic and indifferent to the franchise. It started with what they did with Episode 8 and it has continued to decline since then, both due to continued poor product (apparently Episode 9 managed to be even worse than Episode 8) and oversaturation.
At this point it probably doesn’t matter if they even reversed course and started making high quality product again - the fan base has been chased off and is now apathetic to the franchise. What made the story / lore appealing was destroyed by the sequel trilogy. Even going back to the older era that the fans cared about has an attitude of “well what is the point of all of this if it is just going to end up as it does in the sequel trilogy?” The story arcs are all dumped on and rendered meaningless.
what does critical drinker say about this movie?
And that can already be done to a certain extent, just not at feature length. Memory / storage / speed is the only current hindrance, all of which are improving as we speak. There are fan made videos on YouTube using this - they are only several minutes in length, but amazingly good for what they are...and this tech is still in its early stages.
