Guns decide to shoot on their own.
Some of my many guns just want to kill. They have been known to walk out of my gun safe or bedside table and commit murder. Of those which are most I have chained down. Thek struggle to be free and kill. It is difficult to keep them under control, least they kill me and then unleash havoc. LOL /S
I am an old man now of 78 years old. I have been shooting since the time my grandad needed to hold up the 22 rifle for me to shoot. I have shot all my life and have many weapons of great power and just fun for plinking. Also a gun range in my backyard as I live in the countryside. I never once considered using my many weapons in an illegal fashion and never did. It would just be totally against the culture I was raised in. Circa 1966 we would go hunting after school. Our shotguns were visible in gun racks in our pickup trucks parked on school property. This was just normal in South Louisiana in 1966. Sadly this is no more.
Sadly I know my time on earth is limited. I am slowly giving away my weapons to those that deserve such. I keep what is necessary for home defense that are recent weapons and not of great value but extremely effective. My first gift was to my stepson that lives next door to me on land I sold him at a very low value. The gift was an extremely collectible rifle worth about 8k.
I raised him, thus is my son.
If guns killed people. Or local lakes would be the deadliest place on earth.
I had to share that one.

Agree with you as I was born/raised in SW LA, 12/10/40.
Normal to see guns hung on the back window of a pick up.
Get out of school and head to the woods for a while.
