When ‘non-dogmatic’ information becomes FREE & TRANSPARENT it becomes a threat to those who attempt to control the narrative and/or the stable.
When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.

Yes, that thought occurred to me also... it is hard to figure out these slime balls!; they seem to derive from a different world than you and I. Plus: I think we are on the threshold of the Great Tribulation... there may be an over abundance of slime balls in the world at present, of course in advanced positions.
Yes, the hog killings were a whole family affair and they would cull numerous animals in a single day. My father’s uncle was the shooter—he had been a sniper in WW2. Then they would roll the carcass into a tub dug into the ground and filled with boiling water. This loosened the skin and they would use the round discs off the two-part Mason jar lids and scrape the hair off the hog. (Me: “Why didn’t you just use like a bowie knife?” Him: shrug. “Dunno. That’s how they did it. You wanted it sharp enough to pull the hair off, but not so sharp that it would cut the skin.”) I don’t recall the whole process now, but I did write it all down for my files. Maybe you have a better recollection of it, since I never actually participated. I do know that everybody who helped got a heaping side of ham to hang in their meat cooler.

My latest pet peeve about the new arrivals to the South are the people claiming that someone saying, "Bless your heart!" is basically telling you to F off. So now you know that someone is new because they get offended if you tell them "BYH." I got told BYH three times by a tow truck driver yesterday while I was telling him my dramatic story of driving my mom's BMW to take her to Mother's Day lunch and it started lurching and hopping like a jack rabbit. (Something with the transmission and the newfangled "gas saving feature," I don't know.) But he was from Alabama and repeatedly told me "Bless your heart!" I thought, wow, he better be careful with that because people can really take offense.
I subscribe to LifeSite news and I believe it run by Catholics; they have all bad news about the Pope. It’s saddening and more.

I did it once as a teenager not knowing what had to be done was more the one who would help move the pig to where it was boiled or take the guts and dispose of them. The farmer kid was the one doing most of the ‘skinning’ we followed what you outlined but the farmer kid used a homemade sort of blade to scrap the hair off. There was definitely an art to cleaning the hog. After this experience I never understood why anyone would eat chitlins. When the hog was clean we added the spices to it and then took it to my cousin’s yard where the smoker was, put the hog on the smoker and after roughly 36 hours it was ready for the pig picking.
