I have to take issue with this article, or at least the title. Academic scores and degrees are not necessarily indicative of IQ.
I won’t even consider working with a large vocabulary transgender.
He had a PhD in mathematics and taught math at UC Berkeley for a while. Supposedly he was a great mathematician and shitty teacher that the students hated. He also got into the gender tranny stuff for a bit but didn't go through with it. The tranny thing seems to be a recurring theme with a lot of these nutcases.
He was undoubtedly extremly intelligent but nutty as a fruitcake.

Wisdom and IQ are two different things. Fortunately for me I read Milton Friedman in High School so I became immune to the Collectivist propaganda that drives some high IQ people like Ted Kaczynski crazy.
Kaczinsky had a doctorate in mathematics, and I think he was briefly a math professor before going off the deep end.
Yigal Amir who assassinated Yitzhak Rabin in Israel was also very intelligent. I believe he was a law school student.
I believe Chomsky and Elul both say that the educated are more susceptible to propaganda so it’s not really too strange that these people are going bonkers
Correct, and moreover, even though everyone likes to claim that their political beliefs are well thought out, a lot of it has more to do with emotional response and "values" than intellect.
People constantly wonder how it's possible for extremely intelligent people to hold insane political views. That's because political views appeal for emotional more than intellectual reasons. Einstein was a socialist bordering on communist in many of his views, but that wasn't due to any intellectual deficit. A different values system happened to appeal to his view of society, i.e. one where "fairness" is more important than liberty.
