Eric Swalwell’s Staff “Horrified” By Sexual Misconduct Accusations, Explain Why They Can’t Quit
US Magazine ^ | 4/11/26 | Justin Harp

Congressman Eric Swalwell’s senior staff have said they are “horrified” by sexual misconduct allegations made against him.

“As leaders of teams working for Eric Swalwell, we’re horrified by the recent reporting in the San Francisco Chronicle and by CNN,” a statement signed by staffers for Swalwell’s 14th congressional district and the “Eric Swalwell for Governor 2026” campaign read on Saturday, April 11. “We stand with our former colleague, and the other women who have come forward. We believe you should stand with them, too.”

His staff went on, “The behavior detailed in these reports is abhorrent, beneath the dignity of those serving in public office and betrays the trust of all Californians.”

Despite their condemnation of the Democratic representative, his staffers addressed why they cannot necessarily quit their jobs at this time.

“We also understand that we lead teams who need guidance and stability now, more than ever. We are focused on supporting our colleagues during this challenging time,” they said in a joint statement. “Any decision of staff members to remain in their roles in the interim should not be viewed as support for Eric Swalwell. We recognize that not everyone — in particular our junior staff — can immediately forfeit their income and benefits without significant personal risk or consequence. Our responsibility now is to them.”

Wasn’t it just a few days ago that Swallwell’s official residency in CA was in question?

Why is this in the news because we already knew Swallowsowell was a shitbag? Simple, it is a sacrifice to eliminate the field because right now the DemocRATS have to many candidates running which will cause two Republicans to be the only choice in the general. A system designed to ensure DemocRAT only win for the Governors seat has backfired. They are trying to eliminate some of the field but politicians are arrogant narcists who be damned if they are going to quit because they each think they know best.

This whole scenario reminds me of the lyrics of a Gb minor song by Led Zeppelin... absolutely.

As Cali's Governor, Swallwell vows to strengthen its standing while he is accused of
using horse tranquilizers on unsuspecting women to render them unconscious
so as to commit unspeakable criminal acts upon them!

This one gets 18 miles to the gallon.

Of course, your mileage may vary.

The CA system put in place by Democrats which allows for the top two vote getters regardless of party to run in November, has backfired. The top two right now are Republicans. Swallowell needed to be eliminated. Dems are hoping Katie Porter can get the votes. From worse, Swallowell, to worser, Katie Porter.

“Dems are hoping Katie Porter can get the votes.”

I’m praying there are more videos lurking out there showing what a mean dreadful person she is.

I wonder how many who sold their integrity of that check will end up getting stiffed when Swalwell shuts it down? It will be poetic karma.

I saw an analyst on Newsmax yesterday who made a good point about this matter with Swalwell - the timing stinks (the allegations are only NOW coming out??), and how this timing may relate to the crazy mechanism of the so called “primary” election for the California Governor’s race.

It’s not a “party” primary, its all against all regardless of party, and regardless of party the top two contenders go to the general election. And their are more than a dozen Dim contenders running. The Dim vote could be split so badly that the two GOP contenders could come out ahead. But if Swalwell gets out of the race, that may boost the vote for one of the other Dims enough that they at least get into the general election against one of the GOP candidates.

Maybe THAT is what the timing of the Swalwell matter is really about.

I’m thinking that it may have something to do with the unreleased Fang Fang file. Could be some big commie names in there.

The scab needs to be pulled off the fund that pays to settle allegations. If someone alleges sexual misconduct on sitting statemen, the name of the accuser and accused needs to be public followed by a Grand Jury. Eric Swalwell, quit farting around and step to the plate. It’s your turn at bat.

Swalwell loses all 21 of his endorsements from Dem colleagues

Axios by Andrew Solender

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) lost the last of the 21 endorsements he had from fellow Democratic members of Congress on Saturday as Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.) rescinded her support for his gubernatorial campaign.

Why it matters: It’s a stunning reversal of political fortunes in just 24 hours. Swalwell was among the frontrunners in the race, but his campaign is in free fall due to allegations of rape, sexual assault and misconduct, which he denies.

His page on the Democratic fundraising website ActBlue and the endorsement tab on his website have been pulled down, his ad buys are being pulled back, at least one fundraiser has been scrapped, and he is reportedly hemorrhaging staff.

It doesn’t end there: Swalwell is under investigation by the Manhattan district attorney, and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) plans to force a vote to expel him from Congress.
Swalwell said in a video posted to social media Friday: “These allegations of sexual assault are flat false. They are absolutely false. They did not happen, they never happened.”

Driving the news: “The allegations of sexual assault against Eric Swalwell are deeply disturbing and disqualifying. I am retracting my endorsement of his candidacy for Governor,” Grijalva wrote in a post on X. Reps. Scott Peters (D-Calif.), Linda Sanchez (D-Calif.), Jimmy Panetta (D-Calif.) and Julia Brownley (D-Calif.) also rescinded their endorsements of Swalwell on Saturday.

They joined Sens. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) and over a dozen other House Democrats who unendorsed Swalwell on Friday, with Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-Calif.) resigning as a campaign chair. Several other endorsers, including multiple California state legislators and powerful labor unions, also retracted their support.

Between the lines: It’s not just Swalwell’s erstwhile endorsers calling for him to drop out of the race — party leaders are urging him to do so as well. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), Whip Katherine Clark (D-Mass.) and Democratic caucus chair Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.) said in a joint statement that he should “immediately end his campaign.”

California Democratic Party chair Rusty Hicks said in a statement: “My call for all — repeat, all — candidates for Governor to ‘honestly assess the viability of their candidacy and campaign’ still stands. In fact, that call is more important now than ever before.”

So they would rather campaign for someone who is horrifying, yet they won’t quit because Eric will give them plush jobs. Correct?
