Mutually assured destruction as a deterrent against use of nuclear weapons has undoubtedly been a crucial reason why they haven't been used. Would a nuclear Iran, if it continued as the present theocracy, be dissuaded from using nuclear weapons because of the fear of reprisal? It's a critical question.
Every so often that old chestnut "should we have dropped the Bomb" comes predicatively around, usually driven by weeping-heart college children who have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA about the conditions in WWII. We had beaten Germany, and soldiers were coming home. We had beaten Japan back to their own shores. The people who today absolutely WRING THEIR PEARLS about "boots on the ground" in Iran would passionately suggest the the Atomic Bomb was so HORRIBLE that we should have had a GROUND INVASION of Japan. They, living comfortably seventy years later, would have told the families of those Greatest Generation soldiers that, sure, our boys are almost home, almost back to you, but what we REALLY need todo, to be FAIR to the Japanese, is to take those battle-hardened, weary GI's and send them in to do hand-to-hand on the streets and in the farms of Japan.
To those ivory-tower, spoiled, rich-college-kids and their Leftists professors, filling their skulls full of mush with nonsense, I say "What the HELL is WRONG with you?"
Anyone with even a passing knowledge of the REAL WORLD knows that the Japanese thought their Emperor was GOD. From the cradle on, they KNEW Hirohito was all knowing, all powerful, and MUST BE DEFENDED. Every man, woman and child on the island would have gorilla-style fought to the last cartridge, and then on with SWORDS and FREAKING KITCHEN KNIVES. A generation of men would never have come home to America if we had, and families that had lost brothers, sons and uncles already would have been force to sacrifice again. My DAD would not have come home from WWII if we hadn't dropped the Bomb. And based on these FACTS, it is absolute arrogance that the Philosopher Kings of Liberalism pour that nonsense into our kids and make you pay $400,000 for it.
That said... we are lucky. The PEOPLE of Iran, by and large, are not our enemies. THEY want a free society, and have lived helpless and unarmed under the shock troops of the Murdering Mullahs for 47 years. We have carried out such a clean, surgical attack they they are on OUR SIDE. They are RATTING OUT the die-hard soldiers and passing on the info, and dancing when America/Israel get the job done. But still, the ones WE fight are either so Mu#zy committed that they actually BELIEVE their Ba'al will save them (or give them virgins) or they are well-paid with money stolen from the masses that they are mostly hanging in there.
NEVER DEAL with these vipers. They have broken every deal they've ever made, because they don't think WE are "human" as they define it. We need to continue carefully dismantling Iran. When the job is done, we will sign very nice contracts to rebuild the infrastructure, and make sure they pay us back for the bombs we had to use to extinguish the Mullas. Once the people are sure they can win... God (the real one) help the remaining IGRC, because there WILL be a clensing, and the People will be the ones to do it.
Just to sum up, we should NEVER make a deal with those in power right now.
When you wipe your butt with stones (Ayatollah Rulollah Khomeini said limit it to 3) getting nuked is not a deterrent, it’s blessing.

If the Iranians use their uranium for a gun-type weapon, the complexity is vastly reduced over an implosion device. Matter of fact, the Hiroshima bomb was a gun-type. It was so simple, that type wasn’t even tested prior to Hiroshima. Now, the implosion bomb is a much more efficient in it’s use of nuclear material but it is highly complex. The Nagasaki bomb was an implosion bomb and that type was the one tested at Alamagordo prior to it’s use.
