Bruce Springsteen, 76 years young, last week kicked off his new tour with a now-old ritual: histrionically denouncing President Donald Trump — the one thing all right-thinking people can agree on, right?
“We are now, to many, America the reckless, unpredictable, predatory rogue nation. That is this administration’s and this president’s legacy,” lectured The Boss.
Yet the Baby Boomer’s bluster brings up a crucial question for the entire left, from establishment Democrats to the wokest socialists: After Trump, what?
For now, the prez is their entire raison d’etre.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s every media appearance centers on painting Trump as a would-be dictator — because he wants to expel illegal migrants, because he favors voter ID, because he wants to pay TSA agents.
Having an agenda Dems dislike is so, so authoritarian.
Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom, for now the frontrunner in the ’28 Dem primaries, endlessly preens from his pulpit about Orange Man Bad — even as he mounts a (deeply embarrassing) social-media strategy premised on imitating Trump’s voice and tone.
That same focus persists down the line: Every real White House contender, every major Democrat in Congress, every high-visibility prog politico acts as if Trump will be with us forever.
Why?
Because on every front that matters, Dems have nothing else.

Trump hate and theft of the taxpayers.
Do not be misled, that is a serious understatement.
The Dem hate is substantially greater than just hate of Trump.
The primary thing the Dem Party stands for is its dislike for MAGA, Trump is just a high-profile target. When they get rid of Trump they will go after his successor.
Sadly, those in the current Dem party who do not hate America are simply useful idiots.
Unfortunately the Democrats were on the way out, but not anymore
All Trump had to do was just marginnely improve the economy, keep gas prices low, keep up the deportations and NOT START A NEW WAR.
If he done those, a worst the Dems might have eeked out a small majority in the House in 2026, but it wouldn't have mattered long term because the Senate would be secure and 2028 would be a cakewalk for JD and then after the 2030 Census it would be over for the Dems.
But its not to be, He surrendered to the likes of Tim Waltz and went to war for Israel. So good bye senate and and if the Dems win in 2028, they will rig or amnesty their way around the 2030 census.
The Dems may hate Trump now, but history will probably show he was what saved them.

They’re also in favor of turning North America into a global commons, abolishing whiteness and any trace of the Judeo-Christian cultural foundations of the nation, institutionalizing a de facto one party system at the national level, sacramentaling abortion because women cannot be validated as fully human unless mothers can kill their children, and relentless downward leveling in every sphere — with the exception of ruling class privileges.
Democrats have a sweeping agenda. The Trump hatred is just their cover, because they still find it necessary to lie about most of the rest.
You seriously think Newsom is a lock for 2028??

Actually, the Democratic party has a zillion things it wants. Gun control, abortion, lesbian rights, trans rights, gay rights, marriage with unlimited permutations...the list is endless. The problem, and the reason they must focus on their hatred of Trump is, there is not policy that will capture a plurality of potential Democratic voters. If they come out in favor of something pro-lesbian, then the trans people will go ballistically crazy...and vice versa. The only safe thing they can all agree on is Trump bad. When Trump is gone, they’ll focus on the next GOP presidential candidate. In a hypothetical world where, say, Hillary Clinton became the GOP candidate, she’d be painted just like Trump and hated just as much. Because hatred of the GOP point man is all they’ve got.

Even when he’s not on any ballot they will think they are tarnishing any opponents by saying they’re just another Trump style fascist.
I admit I liked it fine when George H.W. Bush painted his Dem opponents as “Just another ACLU liberal.” True and stimulating to people like me who can’t stand the Commie front group.

The Dems have something to run on. They just don’t like to talk about what they would do. Raise taxes, amnesty for illegals, add DC and PR as states, increase welfare spending, rig future elections and rebuild Iran.
