Erik Prince on Steve Bannon's "War Room" podcast expresses confusion about President Trump's strategy for intervening in Iran:
STEVE BANNON: It seems like it’s not as intense as the strike that ended the 12-day war, but spectacular results, correct?
I mean, they took out the Ayatollah and his top 40 guys — what, having a picnic lunch in the afternoon or gathering? The intelligence was pretty special, the fact that they took the Ayatollah and 40 of his top guys out, sir.
ERIK PRINCE: Look, Steve, I’m not happy about the whole thing. I don’t think this was in America’s interest. It’s going to uncork a significant can of worms — chaos and destruction — in Iran now.
Who takes over? You still have tens, hundreds, thousands of IRGC people who will be positioning to be number two, to be the next rulers of that country. I don’t see how this is in keeping with the president’s MAGA commitment. I’m disappointed.BANNON: Well, talk to us about that, because I’ve been putting up on social media — he wanted regime change. He made this comment the other night. The Ayatollah is gone. His 40 top guys are gone. Don’t you just toss it to the Persians and say — because he keeps saying “rise up from the streets”?
I haven’t seen massive demonstrations or massive people coming out in Tehran. There have been some running around shouting support, but is the plan to decapitate — do you think the president’s accomplished that and now can just move on?PRINCE: I think — yeah. And again, who comes after that? I don’t know that there’s a plan. These...

Thank goodness this writer isn’t in charge of anything, he’s such a mental weakling I couldn’t finish his whine-fest.
Serious question. Exactly how do you "put the Prince in" without putting boots on the ground and affecting an unconditional surrender of the regime?
Yeah. Like that's a new problem? Like the 36,000 + dead Iranians in the last year was not not evicence of chaos and destruction?
not sure why they are not doing defense briefings everyday. The media and the left are def winning the information war. One stupid little drone hit an empty consolate in Dubai...and you’d think Iran just dropped shot “IVEY MIKE” on Texas.
“they get it wrong we bomb them again”
Venezuela was the blueprint. In that case there was no mention of elections or the people choosing their government. Trump mostly doesn’t care who is in charge as long as they do what we want. If some remnant of the current Iranian regime stays in power like in Venezuela that’s fine as long as they obey.
But but but this time it will be different than all the times before
FWIW lots of my social circle are GWOT vets and the majority of them are absolutely opposed to this, but you then you have to consider they were actually fighting in the ME rather than being keyboard warriors
apparently we should have let them kick us around another 50 years before we issue another strongly worded letter.
Are you sure? Isn’t “no news” good news?
These people won’t be satisfied until the full op plan is disclosed.
Then they’ll pick that apart.
Right or left, they just don’t like it. Mostly because they cannot admit the US has essential interests to protect (unlike Ukraine which many of the same critics support).
I like E Primce and respect his opinions but he is not on the inside of this. He is jumping to a lot of conclusionss in his opinions right now.
have you seen the polling on this???...
Not knowledgeable enough to propose specifics. The mechanics of a regime change are tricky. Venezuela is already proving that.
Assumed by what I’m seeing the citizens and ex-pats are calling for him (the prince) as a ruler at this time.
Total disabling of the mullah ruled government already seems imminent.
When citizens are feeling safe enough, then I believe the calls for Pahlavi’s return will be strong from the citizenry.
The chief reason we should avoid foreign policy is because we suck at it.
Your GWOT vets are understandably twice shy.
If Iran comes to their senses, accepts that they will never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons, and stops the insane talk of killing everyone of a different religion, they will be allowed to enjoy peace and prosperity. If they refuse, they can continue to live in chaos and destruction.
I think for legal and political reasons they keep saying this is not about regime change, but clearly it’s about regime change. And as this thing seems to have been carefully planned out, I’m pretty sure they have thought this out as well. Trump likes to act like he’s winging it, but it looks like they are working to a plan they’ve been working out for years while waiting for the right moment to pull the trigger.
Every time Iran kills an America, we should wipe out their top-40 leaders. Eventually, they will stop killing Americans.
Fool!
What were the consequences of doing nothing?
YES!!!
Any more bedwetters….google “survivors of Babi Yar”
Exactly. He didn't wring his hands about casualties when there was money to be made sending contractors down range into the Sheite hell hole for the Obama regime.
