Article doesn't mention delegations from EU countries showing up uninvited. Given some past actions from them, I wouldn't be surprised if they were there to queer the deal.

I take Trump at his word that he wants the killing to stop, and appreciate the effort, but sometimes you have to walk away.

My first preference would be for the US to walk away entirely.

My second preference would be to start sending massive shipments of advanced weapons to Russia. Finish Ukraine.

We must by all means continue this Davos/City of London war with Russia for EU control of the region’s resources.

Even if it means sacrificing tens of thousands of American soldiers (because the EU is too effeminate, disarmed and muslim to do it).

Sincerely
Klaus Schwab.

If Ukraine wasn’t dependent upon the United States, then it would not be possible for Trump to be “unfair” which he is not being.

I’ve said many times the only thing that will make Putin compromise is a threat to his rule or to his life.
Perhaps a serious defeat on the battlefield would also do the trick. So far, I don’t see any of these things happening.

On the other hand, president Trump is not stupid. I believe that he wants to do the right thing. But he cannot hand Putin a victory heading into the midterm elections and that is just political reality. Zelensky knows that and that he has the democrats and the European countries on his side.

So here we are.

Fair? Life’s not fair, little Z. Never will be. High time you learn that and move on.

If the EU thinks they can do it better, let them.

By the way, we’ve been told how many times that Ukraine had “completely collapsed” and there’s “nothing left”, “only a matter of time for the news to come out they’ve been routed”, “Zelensky begs for cease fire”, etc. how many times over the last 4 years? Similar things have been said about Russia, including that Putin has died or become totally incapacitated a number of times. So what peace talks? What is being negotiated and with whom? You mean those sources were all wrong, repeatedly?

Its really unfair when the side that is winning militarily won’t agree to just quit and withdraw after losing about 150,000 men in 4 years ….when at a minimum they are achieving the goal of reducing the size of the Uke army and the treasuries and military stockpiles of NATO countries

The longer this goes, the more expansive become Russian goals of neutralizing Ukraine as a future security threat

I want Ukraine to fight to the last square inch of its property, because that probably means Little z is finally quieted.

The EU is not foot most of the bill. They have every right to be there. And if Trump really wants to stop the killing then he needs to pivot to aid the Ukrainians and not support Russian war aims. Ukraine is fighting for its survival. They are not going to fold no matter how much pressure Trump tries to put on them.

Two points, Putin already took that area, you gonna kick him out?

What Zelenskyy does NOT understand, is that Russia is holding virtually the cards in this bloody deadly serious game, and while the effort is sapping most of the Russian Federation’s economic strength, Putin still has a lot more warm bodies, resources and time to spend/waste than Ukraine.

Stop the shooting, take a breath, start cleaning up the debris, meet the needs of the wounded, and bury the dead. Whatever the sacrifices, get back to the business of living.

The war has taken an interesting turn. The well-built static Ukrainian fortified trench lines are well behind the line now. The front has become more of a fluid area of contact up to 15 kilometers deep, with both sides moving in and out at will, probing and trying to surprise the other from a superior location.

Well, duh. Does anybody think the little martinet is interested in stopping the grift? He’s a complete con. Don’t get me wrong -— Putin’s a thug, but Zelensky has no intention of honestly negotiating. How his people have not unseated him, whether by means fair or foul, is beyond me.
