Besides the Forbes250 he’s worth at least $800 billion dollars. That makes him #1 too.

Both merely derivative entities using technology they did not create.

The Franklin stove did a lot to help people cook and heat. Had a flue that took tge wood smoke out of the home.

Elon Musk works with the same mind of innovation, but has a huge infrastructure that Franklin did not have.
Until the Franklin stove we must remember that most homes were heated with fireplaces where most of the heat went up the chimney.
It is such an innovation that the Cbinese today are stealing the idea.**
The Franklin stove provides both convection based heat and radiant heat, there also was a pivoting trellis inside the stove to BBQ meat that pivoted out for placing the meat on a grill.There was a chain curtain to prevent explosive sparks from coming out into the room.
I have had one of these Franklin stoves for years , one made by Vermont Castings. It truly is a marvellous stove surpassed later only by stoves made by Jotul design.
