Two transgender teenagers who were close friends at the same California school have died by suicide less than a year apart.
Summer Devi Mehta, 17, stepped into the path of a Caltrain on February 3, just 10 months before her classmate, Ash He, died the same way.
Mehta was a junior at Palo Alto High School in the Bay Area, while 15-year-old He was a sophomore.
Mehta left a suicide note explaining that she hoped her death would bring people together and raise awareness about the suicide crisis among the trans community.
Her family, who found her letter, wrote a heart-wrenching tribute to their daughter, which was published by The Trevor Project, an LGBTQ+ suicide prevention charity.
'The world was a scary place for her, as a transgender, autistic woman. It should not have been,' Mehta's heartbroken relatives wrote.
'It should have seen her for the wonderful, radiant and deeply empathetic person she was.'
According to her family, Mehta struggled with depression as well as the death of her best friend He, who identified as non-binary.
'All Summer wanted to do was make the people in her life happy, and be a good kid, a good friend, a good sister, a good daughter,' her family wrote.

That’s right.
It is Margaret Sanger Part 2
Yea but what about the poor guy who had to clean the train afterwards?
It’s just as well.
Trannies be wack.
2 is a starting point. Next month maybe try for 10.
I blame the staff and teachers at the school. They should be arrested for aiding and abetting suicides.
Fixed it...
I’m afraid to ask what were He’s pronouns? Better not fail that simple task.
Their pronouns are now was/were.
Palo Alto High School has had a suicide problem for many, many years. I know it was making the news a lot around 15 years ago when my kiddos were in high school in the Bay Area.
Here’s an article about the previous cluster of suicides. There were a high number of them from the LGTBQ community back then too.

Mehta struggled with the death of the best friend 10 months after Mehta committed suicide?
Just more proof that ever more affirmation doesn’t solve their problems, it just exacerbates them.
They started out being nice and suggesting that people need to "rethink" their dating pool by including "transgenders" if they are attracted to them initially (good costume.) Then, the snide name-calling soon followed. You're a "transphobe" if you won't consider dating a cross-dresser, with all of the social castigation that intends. You're "ignorant" and, if they had their way, you'd be banished from polite society or even be arrested.
ok
Unclear to me here. Were these boys claiming to be girls
Or girls claiming to be boys?
I really think that a law should be passed that imprisons ANY person for aiding, abetting, supporting, encouraging or contributing to another person under 18 to seek or contract to getting transgender treatments. Punishment should be mandatory 5-25 years depending on involvement.
We're supposed to believe "it's all our fault" somehow. Personally, I've never (knowingly) directly met a "transgender" person who I could mistreat. My employer did have an insurance agent a couple of decades ago who was a cross-dressing man, but I kept any interactions focused on the business at hand and nothing more. Maybe that's what they're upset about. that we don't make more of their trans "fabulousness."
The pathologist knows full-well what they are, objectively.
