The Super Bowl LX halftime show featuring Latin trap artist Bad Bunny was the subject of immense criticism from Americans on Sunday night.
President Donald Trump called it "one of the worst ever."
The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
"This ‘Show’ is just a ‘slap in the face’ to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day — including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History! There is nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show and watch, it will get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they haven’t got a clue of what is going on in the REAL WORLD — And, by the way, the NFL should immediately replace its ridiculous new Kickoff Rule. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Prominent conservative influencers were among the show's harshest critics, and even Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice Harmeet Dhillon chimed in.

I traded shifts with someone today so that I could work during that game. Doing something productive is my way of protesting.

I’m a Black MAGA supporter and voted for Trump all three times but I think the point is that Puerto Rico is part of the US. That’s a known fact! So why can’t they have their fifteen minutes to entertain? Yes it’s different but we are different to them! You shouldn’t just automatically decide you’ll have no part of the half time show because you think Bad Bunny is immoral in some way. Why not take a few minutes to really listen instead of being so judgmental. My fave Bad Bunny song is DTMF. It’s a real tearjerker if you give it a chance

I feel like we have opera sung at the White House and Mar a Lago and no one makes derogatory comments about it- it’s just another language. Why is everyone on here so insulted?
Did the crowd react with ‘booos’ when they announced it was S-Bunny’s time to give his half-time entertainment?
And one more thing, I love Free Republic and I’m an avid daily reader,but it is very difficult reading overtly racist posts. I feel so angry when there are comments about the morals of Blacks and how we are all welfare recipients that want to work the system and how we can’t speak English! Everyday there are posts like this and did you ever stop to think you’re hurting the feelings of Black Freepers? It’s very difficult supporting conservative views when racist statements are bandied about because it’s acceptable on here. The moderators don’t curb the hateful comments! To me MAGA needs to be more welcoming because we’re all in this together !

Frankly, I’m surprised that those in the stadium didn’t boo the hell out of the show, and/or walk out.
I hope that next year’s TPUSA halftime will have bigger talent.
I guess that it was about 10 years ago when Jay-Z was put in charge of half-time shows for SB. Goodell needs to replace him.
My nephew is married to a PR. Her parents hate America, but their asses live in FL so they can suck up the American Dream. Her dad says that China is better. My sister asked him how many people he knows who are trying to break in to China. She offered to buy the plane tickets for him. He said nothing.
The wife is a nurse in FL and doesn’t speak English. Won’t learn it.

Jay Z is the one who has been setting up the halftime shows for the past several years. His name needs to be associated with these trainwrecks.
The moderators don’t “curb the hateful comments” by the RC’s criticisms of Protestants, or comments by the resident misogynists denigrating women, either.
Everybody is the recipient of something negative. There’s no “right not to be offended” in the Bill of Rights or Constitution.
It’s encouraging to know that there are blacks like you who can — hopefully — work within the culture to “convert” others to MAGA! Maybe 25 years from now, 85% of the perps in crimes, or displaying disgusting behavior in public, posted on FR won’t be black. Until then, human nature draws logical conclusions.
Sadly for you, the upstanding black citizens don’t get much attention because they DO do the right thing and live quiet decent lives. My niece’s husband is black — absolutely wonderful man. Her son is, too.
