Yep. Lots of conservatives virtue signal with their keyboards but don’t have the stones to boycott anything. Let’s see, how are my boycotts going?
1. Bud Light- found a much better beer
2. Target- honestly didnt shop there before the bathroom stuff.
3. Starbucks- I do not patronize.
4. NFL- haven’t watched since they started the kneeling thing.
5. Panera- haven’t been there in years
There are others too. I refuse to spend my money on left wing supporting organizations. Once I make that decision I own it and hold to it.
No stupor bowl for me.

Pitchers and catchers report this week...
In honor of Mr. Lolich: “Sock It to ‘Em Tigers!!”
I have downloaded a 5 hour video of Superbowl XXI (commercials included) off of you tube.
I will be watching this instead of today’s festivities.
Very excited to see John Madden and Pat Summerall in the booth again.
They might as well ditch Trump, then, because he was the first POTUS in 50 years to attend an NFL regular season game this year.
Super Bowl Sunday! Picking the Seahawks today.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. May the league disappear into the dustbin of history.
Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, is expected to have mild, mostly dry weather. Forecasts indicate partly to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures ranging from a high of 67°F to a low near 47°F-49°F, and light winds around 5-10 mph. Rain is not expected to be a major concern, making it a comfortable, cool evening for the outdoor game.
We’ll be watching but will switch over to the Turning Point halftime. I’m leaning towards a higher score (both teams with more than 30 points) & whoever has the ball last wins. Would prefer the Patriots but not hopeful.
I did not watch much for a few years during the Kapernick/kneeling crap, but the many players professing Jesus Christ brought me back. (& yeah, our Eagles being in the Superbowls sorta figured in there too)
Seahawks favored to win!
I’ll only watch it if a Caucasian singer performs The Black National Anthem during the halftime show.
Bruce Dern. Fantastic as usual.
Robert Shaw. Panzer Leader to Massoad agent!
Told the kids he was the Original Tom Cruse. Steelers and Cowboys a nice touch. (Players were actually Miami Dolphin's players for the movie.) 70's disaster movies. The Best!
HAWKS HAWKS BITCHEZ!!!!
It wouldn’t be an NFL thread without ya! 👍
Boycotted Kmart out of existence?
The most successful boycotts are the ones that no longer need a boycott.
Kmart went out of business due to intense competition from Walmart and Target, a failure to innovate or update its rundown stores, and severe mismanagement following its 2005 merger with Sears. Decades of declining sales, poor inventory technology, and a lack of a clear brand identity led to bankruptcy in 2002 and a slow, final collapse.
Key factors in Kmart’s demise included:
Failed Competition: Kmart failed to keep pace with Walmart’s low prices and Target’s trendier, higher-quality merchandise.
Poor Management & Strategy: Constant turnover in leadership resulted in constantly shifting, ineffective strategies. The 2005 merger with Sears by hedge fund manager Eddie Lampert was described as combining two failing companies, which ultimately accelerated their downfall.
Neglected Stores: Stores were often described as run-down, dirty, and poorly lit, which discouraged repeat customers.
Technological Failure: Kmart lagged behind competitors in adopting modern supply chain, logistics, and inventory tracking technology.
Debt and Asset Stripping: High debt from poor acquisitions and the eventual, strategic stripping of assets by leadership left the company unable to reinvest in its remaining stores.
“merger with Sears by hedge fund manager Eddie Lampert was described as combining two failing companies”
1) Kmart’s immediate demise was triggered by Kmart replacing a hot babe who used a gun with Rosie O’donnell. 50% of Kmart customers immediately went to Walmart for that reason. The boycott was led here on FRee Republic.
2) Eddie Lampert was a real estate play. He had no interest in retail, only in the vast real estate. Prior to Lampert, Martinez had the right vision for Sears. But Sears middle management at the Vice President level were living in the 50s. I worked in Softer Side of Sears IT. Middle management had no idea of inventory management with computers. They would order the monthly report 15 days after the end of the month and then spend a month pouring over the paper print out before paper ordering the next month’s inventory.
Working across the aisle from me was a team hired by Martinez with the vision of Sears Catalog on the internet. This was before the existence of middle management, in the days of video games on computers. Middle management could not understand how a Sears catalog would be attractive on a green screen 3278 computer. Those were the only computers middle management could conceive of.
It is the same with Trump or any gap between leadership with vision and the grunts in civil service protected middle management who can’t grasp the vision.
Pam Bondi can have a hold over assistant attorney who has no vision other than what she was told in swamp U.
This Super Bowl is similar to Ravens vs Giants 25 years ago. No name QBs.
Biggest LOL! What's next? Burger Chief.
I don’t care who wins, as long as it is NOT the New England Patriots...
