I think there is a sync issue between audio and video, including in the post show discussion.
It absolutely is a sampling of Wereolves. Sweet home is only mentioned, not really used as any hook in music.

Did the cameras show the stands during the halftime show. I’m interested in seeing how many folks walked out of their seats. I also understand they had to bring out other, much more famous folks, to offset his performance?
The TPUSA alternative halftime show got five million views on Youtube alone.

You’re correct. I don’t listen to country music. To be fair, I’m a fan of hard rock, prog rock, free jazz, and related genres. Many people dislike my music. So be it.
But my dislike of country is based on due diligence.
I was given a contemporary country playlist a few years ago. I tried. Son Volt. David Gray. Chris Stapleton. Whiskeytown. Uncle Tupelo. Crystal Gale. I guess they’re country.
Then I heard a curated playlist online: Tucker Wetmore. Luke Combs. Megan Moroney. Zach Bryan.
I am sorry. It’s the same thing over and over again lyrically. Broken dreams, broken relationships, booze, weed…and bad grammar: “But I got better since you got gone.”
And the country instrumentation and chord progressions are uninspiring and pedestrian. No killer guitar solos, no songs faster than 150 bpm, and every singer sounds the same.
Now, I didn’t see the TPUSA halftime, but Kid Rock is hardly a shining beacon of good music. American Badass is filth.
The Bad Bunny halftime show was, I believe, the first HT SB show that wasn’t all presented live and on the field. I’m not talking about the lip-synching; It was a combo of prerecorded bits, AI, and some live stuff to try to make you thin it was all live.
And yes, as far as HT shows go, it sucked, as did the music.
Speaking of sucking, New England is getting no-no’d.
