Maybe it’s a bit more frozen than usual but this happens every winter.
I’m in SW Wisconsin and we just suffered through 2 full weeks of sub-zero temps. I can only imagine that it’s been a BIT more ‘frozen’ up in Canada these past few weeks, too.
Our lowest low was -18. It was ugly. Haven’t had winter weather like this in a decade.

How often does it freeze completely? I’ve seen an old photo of Niagara Falls when it was frozen solid, with dozens of people walking on the ice above and below the falls.
It was completely frozen in 1970. Beautiful.

Right. Once, back in the 1800s, it ALMOST froze. But it never has completely.
