Maybe it’s a bit more frozen than usual but this happens every winter.

The ice looks really cool at night with all of the Colored spotlights beaming on it.

I’m in SW Wisconsin and we just suffered through 2 full weeks of sub-zero temps. I can only imagine that it’s been a BIT more ‘frozen’ up in Canada these past few weeks, too.

Our lowest low was -18. It was ugly. Haven’t had winter weather like this in a decade.

Bring on the Global Warming, Baby! :)

How often does it freeze completely? I’ve seen an old photo of Niagara Falls when it was frozen solid, with dozens of people walking on the ice above and below the falls.

Snow Flurries = A Mere Flesh Wound. ;)

Yeah. I have friends in FL, too. Mostly they’re mad that they can’t have drinks by the pool this week. *Rolleyes*

Maybe if they’re more sluggish in the cold, it will slow down the alligators eating their house pets?

Always look on the Bright Side of Life! :)

I'm slightly S of you in Iowa, and this January has been a concentrated misery of sub-freezing temperatures and poor driving conditions. This after the various post-Thanksgiving 2025 Weather Crapfests.

If a person around here had any latent Seasonal Affective Disorder lurking in them, they know about it now.

But it’s been wonderful for using the unheated back porch as an additional refrigerator/freezer.

Media: “Murder Rate in Iowa Skyrockets!”

No, wait! It doesn’t. It’s too d@mn COLD to move, LOL!

I’ve read that if you get ‘all stabby’ with ‘S.A.D’ you CAN kill someone with an icicle...and it leaves NO murder weapon.

Just sayin’... ;)

Roger that. I can leave groceries like meat, seafood and ice cream in my vehicle while I sit at the bar watching a game and I don’t have to worry about it.

Hey, be nice, a person can get hit on the head by falling frozen iguanas in this weather! That doesn’t happen up north!

Niagara Falls is at 43.08 degrees north. I don’t know exactly where you are but I would guess very close to that latitude. Dubuque Iowa is at 42.5 degrees north as a reference. The New York-Ontario border goes north south along the Niagara river rather than east west like most of the US Canada border does.

You should come vacation in tropical Idaho. We’re having highs in the 50s right now.
