Yes when you first see them coming down or along one of the roads leading to the falls they are truly breathtaking. For a panoramic view you have to be on the Ontario side but up close and personal the New York side is it. They aren't the tallest falls or with the greatest water flow however they are easily accessible especially when it comes to relatively nearby New York City or pretty much the eastern US. Goat Island which splits the falls has a statue of Nikola Tesla. It was there long before Elon started his car company.
