Elon Musk Says Christopher Nolan Has ‘Lost His Integrity’ With ‘The Odyssey’ If Lupita Nyong’o Is Playing Helen of Troy

Elon Musk took to X on Sunday to claim two-time Oscar-winning director Christopher Nolan “has lost his integrity” while debating Lupita Nyong’o’s speculated role in “The Odyssey,” Helen of Troy.

On Sunday morning, one X user claimed that if Nyong’o plays Helen of Troy, it is “an insult” to the Greek poet Homer, who wrote “The Odyssey” around 700 BCE, because he originally described the fictonal character as “fair skinned, blonde, and ‘the face that launched a thousand ships’ because she was so beautiful that men started a war over her.” Musk later commented on the post, “Chris Nolan has lost his integrity.”

The destruction of western culture is not an “inconsequential“ thing.

Cared enough to say I don’t care.

I’ll go further, ok with me if you play a historical part different from your own racial background.

If someone has the money and that’s their casting decision, ok with me.

Movies are not historical studies.

“Movies are not historical studies.”

You miss the point. A lot of people only get their history from TV and movies.

A lot of people are uneducated.

Regardless, no one gets to control the casting in movies.

Probably more people will hear that there was a Helen of Troy. Knowing her color maybe not as important.

I’d like to see Justin Bieber get the lead in the next movie about Martin Luther King. I don’t think anyone would mind.

I agree and part of my point is “they” complained about “cultural misappropriation” when whites played asians, etc.

So let blacks play whites and at some point it may be understood anyone can play any part.

Of course the left doesn’t treat this fairly but that is their problem. Cultural misappropriation is something they made up.

Alinsky said: “Make them play by their own rules”.

The Left was quite clear: Whites cannot play Asians. John Wayne as Genghis Khan?? Ridiculous! Don’t do that again!!!

Therefore, blacks should not be allowed to be Alexander Hamilton or Helen of Troy.

But the current situation plays out on two paths:

1) Rampant illegal immigration. People come into the US to replace the current US residents. This is “replacement theory” and it has been happening.

2) Roles suitable for actresses who look European (specifically Greek) are not going to white actresses. Those actresses are being replaced by black actresses.

I do not see anything going against the tide. Once upon a time, whites moved into Africa as colonizers. That didn’t go well because Africans didn’t want to be replaced by whites. And I am not aware of anyone like, say, Nicole Kidman being cast as Rosa Parks. No. It doesn’t work that way. It has never worked that way. But the Left has successfully got us in a pincer, replacing whites from two different directions.

“So let blacks play whites and at some point it may be understood anyone can play any part” is simply letting the Left win without our side even thinking about resisting.

Lupita Nyong’o, barely reaches one “millihelen”, that is “The amount of beauty required to launch *a* ship”.

Well, I am a big fan of Christopher Nolan.
And I am a big fan of both the Iliad and the Odyssey.

But I will be boycotting this movie because I don’t accept inappropriate casting. I can’t do much more than that, but I can do that much.

Wouldn’t it be more fitting to cast Sydney Sweeny in a full length film as Rosa Parks or better yet Harriet Tubman?
