The last time temperatures in Tampa, Florida, reached or dropped below 32°F was on January 13, 2011. During that event, temperatures dropped to 29°F, causing ice to form on the Veterans Expressway. While a significant cold blast occurred in January 2018, the most recent official 32-degree (or lower) reading for the city occurred in 2011. That was fifteen years ago.

I was watching the radar and could see NC getting clobbered.
When the storm was headed towards Norfolk, it started to die down.
That happens quite often, the radar shows a storm bearing down on Hampton Roads, once it hits the Great Dismal Swamp, it suddenly loses momentum and evaporates .
Something spooky about the place, a real life Mirkwood if there ever was one.

Our windchill at 6 was 13° with temp at 22°. Just brutal. Snowed in Volusia, and east Seminole county. Rhousands in Central Fl have lost power and there’s a big brush fire in Lake County. The wind was fierce until around 7:30. My pup and I walked for 60 seconds lol and came back to bed with heating pad!
