This is just one more example of a Tucker-Carlson-esque pattern of doing anything he can to avoid showing sympathy to Israel and the Jews. ...
Vance: "Today we remember the millions of lives lost during the Holocaust, the millions of stories of individual bravery and heroism, and one of the enduring lessons of one of the darkest chapters in human history: that while humans create beautiful things and are full of compassion, we're also capable of unspeakable brutality. And we promise never again to go down the darkest path."

Yep.
There are different ways to measure the amount of various people murdered during the Nazi years. One way is how many percent of the entire subgroup. One third of the global population of Jews were murdered. Only fairly recently has the Wolrld’s Jewish population recovered to its pre-War population.
Perhaps your comment should have pointed out the Holocaust Day statement by PA Gov. Josh Shapiro that contained no mention of Jews either this year or last year. Of course, Shapiro, the potential VP candidate for the Harris campaign in 2024, was rejected for being “too Jewish.” Surely your comment would have shot right to the top by bringing balance to the column’s position on the required use of the word “Jew” when discussing the Holocaust.
Yeah, it was not a criticism of your post… It just gets old, hearing this group or that group complain about this or that.
An entire population of people was almost wiped out by communism. 25 million people in that country alone.
Being of Ukrainian, ancestry myself, fourth generation American, I get particularly rankled when that gets glossed over. Over
I guess because we’re not loud enough about it.
Thanks for posting it though. I like JD Vance. He’s a great VP.
Author Robin M. Itzler is A/T’s token Jew.
In a September 2021 article for American Thinker titled “Jews must shake off their prejudice towards the Republican party,” she writes from a personal perspective regarding Jewish perspectives on politics, referring to herself as part of the Jewish community.
Additionally, she has been profiled in other publications discussing the need
“to engage Jewish people” outside of traditional community centers and synagogues.
Itzler is a regular contributor to American Thinker to insure the fragile Jewish
psyche is perpetually assuaged and that US tax dollars get to the M/E promptly.
Yeah, we can’t forget chairman now and his brilliant demonstration of the “warmth of socialism”…
Quoting that brilliant mind zero mamma.
I guess you forgot to mention that the “warmth” comes from the bullets being fired into the back of skulls.
Your point is well taken an absolutely spot on correct.
Communists suck and the only way to negotiate with them is to throw them out of helicopters.
Similar to MSNow headline:
Tulsi Gabbard appears to be ‘alone with evidence’ in Fulton
She must be up to nefarious ways as is JD because you think so or other people say. 🤡
Saying holocaust is implied? Must one say Jews?
You are correct.
Although Jews were the primary target and victims, many others were eliminated.
The REAL shock was the Treblinka camp.
Out of the 1M sent there, only 76 survived.
They ran away just before the Russians arrived.
I have been told by Jews. And have read essays by Jews that the Holocaust refers to the deaths of Jews. The 6 million Jews. Only Jews.
Jews recognize that many others died and numbers up to an additional 6 million have been floated. However their memorials are for the deaths of the Jews.
If Poles or Gypsys or Christians or Russians want to memorialize there own Jews say go ahead. But our Holocaust memorials are for Jews.
So the Jew who wrote this essay was either sadly ignorant of his history or setting up VP Vance with some political aim in mind.
There were another five or six million killed. They were not all Jews.
I understand they were the primary focus. But, lots of people labored and died in those camps.
Are we not supposed to remember them as well?
Correct
Did I mention that I hate AutoCorrect?
“Zero mama“ should have been Zorro Mamdani Mamdani, or WTF his name is in NYC.
“Chairman now” should have been “chairman Mao”…
Sigh…
It’s the poisonous,QATARlson effect.
Word on the street here in Pennsylvania is that he was offered the job and refused to take it because he was politically savvy enough not to board a sinking ship.
He's still a folk hero of sorts for his work as AG in blowing the lid off the pedo priest scandal.
I think he is hoping that his party will get beat badly enough in the mid-terms or even 2028 that they will finally move toward the center again and make him the next nominee. As far left as he is, I don't think he realizes how far left his party has drifted. Like Fetterman, he also has his haters within the party base because he won't drink quite all of their Koolaid.
Israel is considered an ethno-state often described by scholars as an ethnocracy, ethnic democracy, or nation-state. It is defined by law as the “national home of the Jewish people,” granting exclusive racialist rights of self-determination solely to Jews.
The 2018 Nation-State Law formalized Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people, prioritizing its racialist Jewish character, making Hebrew the official language, and downgrading the then-prevailing Arabic language.
Researchers categorize Israel as an “ethnocracy” (a racialist regime that facilitates the control of a particular ethnic group over a multi-ethnic territory). Others use “ethnic democracy” to describe the system that combines so-called “democratic procedures” with the racial dominance of one ethnic group.
Israel’s “Law of Return” allows any Jewish person worldwide to immigrate and gain citizenship, a racialist right not extended to non-Jews.
The racial classification remains highly contested, with critics arguing it is an ethnocratic or “apartheid state,” while proponents argue it is a “democracy” that protects the national identity of the Jewish race.
Why is Israel allowed to have an ethno-state and nobody else does?
Very true.
What about Puerto Rican Jews?
They gays are always anxious to point out that gays were also Holocaust victims, so they should be happy with Vance here.
