I haven’t laid a sports bet in four decades.
But the gambling perspective always intrigues me.
In these two games, it would appear all about the QB’s.
Stafford is by far the best and most experienced QB, but the same could be said of Josh Allen last week in the AFC Divisional round.
It seems to me the game comes down to the Rams shaky special teams versus whether Darnold repeats his bust in last year’s playoff round.
That cost him as the “bag” he got in free agency wasn’t what it might have in guaranteed money nor length of contract.
He wins this game and he will make himself the money back he might have gotten last year.
I’d take the favorite here.
The AFC game is a head scratcher.
Nix wasn’t asked to make a lot of difficult downfield throws and the back-up is probably capable of making those throws.
But Nix’s strength was he had “it” to make winning plays sometimes with his legs.
This is essentially a pick ‘em game.
I’d take the point and Denver.
NE over Denver and the backup QB.
Rams over Seattle, barely.
NE over Rams in SB VL.
I'll take either NFC team over the AFC representative in the Super Bowl. Both are deeper and more talented.
Like others in this thread I think the two teams that had to win in OT last week just to get here will lose today.
Seattle to beat NE in Superbowl.
From your lips to God’s ears. This is my hope. GO HAWKS!
- Pats
- Seahawks
That’s ok. Daytona 500 is the week after the Stupor Bowl and Baseball spring training starts up in Feb.

Rams
Patriots
Raiders vs Commanders in SB...
Raiders win 3-0...
I’m taking a queue from President Trump and skipping the Supper Bowel.
I’m going way out there...Denver & Seattle.
Seahawks vs Patriots in the SuperBowl
(You can bet I’ll be watching a Beavis & Butthead Butt-Bowl replay during half-time.)
7 - 7 at the end of the half. Looks like it will be a low scoring affair... which favors the Broncos IMHO.
I had the Pats picked, not that it matters, this game is a bit of a drag. Seahawks for the NFC championship
I don’t think I’ll bother watching the SB this year. It’s a meh matchup.
What’s funny is it’s the one game the wife wants to watch. That’s part of the problem, the game presentation is too geared towards females, as opposed the the Conference Championship Games. For me, today is the Super Bowl.
PATRIOTS WIN!!!!!
PATRIOTS WIN!!!!!
Environmentalist whackos deeply saddened. (RIP Rush!)
