It's January 2026, and in steps former Christian music starlet Amy Grant, pining for her younger days of the 60s and 70s cultural revolution with her latest single, "The 6th of January."
Not joking 👇
VIDEO AT LINK........................
The lyrics to this thing are the most Boomerslop I've ever read.
References to John Brown and Harper's Ferry, Martin Luther King, Woodstock, and John Lennon's "Imagine."
She says maybe it's the time of year
Or maybe it's the time of man
60's playlist and a beer
I'm suddenly 16 again ...
Hey mister where's the road to Yasgur's farm
He stares at me with pity and alarm
Says that crowd left here long ago
Scattered all to hell and Harper's Ferry
On the 6th of January
This is Amy Grant's message of hatred towards the folks who made her famous.
All of the worst boomer nostalgia incoming...
I hear the words John Lennon said
Asking me to imagine
As I fight this cart with crooked wheels
He's either bent over laughing
Or spinning in his Strawberry Fields ...
And we're driving home and the radio plays
What's goin' on? Marvin Gaye
Is it right on red or left on MLK
I look ahead and realize we've lost our way
So she's a commie now??
We've lost our way? The radical free-love hippies were right? The leftist revolution was the good old days?
Now it's just Trump and J6 playing in her mind.
This will become the definitive holiday song for liberals now, won't it?
Here's a little online reaction for you:

Yeah, well, so was Katy Perry.
Mucho dumbassery!
I’ve always called her “Angry Grunt”.
The more so after her affair.
Get thee behind us Scarlet Woman.
Nashville whore.
I’m trying to figure-out how, “whatever” Amy Grant does matters to my life.
She needs to shave her sideburns and arm pits. But perhaps her fat slob husband likes hairy women.
I was in the room with that woman when I was young that’s the truth as a journalist 30 other people crowded into that space back in 1983.
Today my message to Amy Grant and all others is repentance from sin sexual or otherwise.
Politics I don’t care if you suck up to Trump and his buddies like Lindsey Graham or oppose President Trump in a pink hat.
Same Jesus for all folks.
For all people my story of sinful wickedness and hypocrisy.
Left and Right repent God’s Kingdom is coming and all the insanity in our midst is coming to an end.
I’ve got a huge musical library that has every kind of music and every musician covered. Ain’t got jack by her. Screw her. 2020 was stolen by her far-left comrades. She’s too stupid to know it.
And I had the impression she was a nice, classy lady. Thank you for straightening me out!!!
She may have Hats, but she's sounding like a pink-haired lady with cats.
Amy Grant, Baby Baby, had a partnership with pro-abortion Gates Foundation.
“This is Amy Grant’s message of hatred towards the folks who made her famous.”
It appears with these ‘artists’ that once you’ve made all the cash you’ll need for a number of lifetimes, you can let your true colors show.
*SPIT*
once saved always saved doesn’t mean once saved no longer an idiot- she’s human, as susceptible to falling as anyone else- even Christians can harden their hearts and turn their face from God. He allows them to do so- that’s what free will is all about- He will of course try to get them to seek his presence again, but he doesn’t force them to- When a family member turns their back on their family, it doesn’t mean he or she is no longer part of that family- they are still a son or daughter or whatever relation they are- that doesn’t change- they just choose to forgo whatever benefits they woudl have had had they not done so-
I always remember a very beautiful picture of Amy Grant on in the bicentennial issue of some magazine back in 1976; it may have been Time, or Life.
She would have been 20 or 21. The picture was of her at some performance. She was holding one hand up, with a beautiful smile on her face; an enormous American flag made up the entire background.
I just stared at the picture, trying to commit it to memory, she was so strikingly attractive.
Now I really don’t like her.
Sadly, the template seems to be, start in Christian music (easy to do) and then once you gain success renounce everything. Not saying Grant is doing that, but I would ask, “Does Grant’s song advance the Kingdom of God, or does her song serve simply to increase a divisive and temporal political agenda?”
Clearly she’s never read about John Brown’s first victim in Harper’s Ferry, a free black man just walking around doing his job.
Shot him in the back.
RIP Heyward Shepherd.
Hank Hill said it best, “Can’t you see you’re not making Christianity better, you’re just making rock and roll worse!”
Okay. Used that way, it almost sounds like something which has now been excreted.
