There is no such thing as "Free Speech". All speech has a price attached to it. What you are trying to support, quite badly, is the concept that the government may not arrest you for saying certain things. That is Freedom of Speech and quite a different thing.

But your employer is certainly free to say if you include Poofery Promotion and the Sexual Mutilation of Children in your syllabus we will not be renewing your contract next year.

It is rather amazing how many people either did not actually read the article or are fully in favor of Poofery Promotion and the Sexual Mutilation of Children.

As I said, his views evolved over time.

In his earlier writings he had a more “liberal” view, but his later writings he took a more conservative view, as I described.
