President Trump said that the U.S. military is considering “strong options” on Iran ahead of meeting the country’s leaders.

On Sunday, when asked on Air Force One whether Iran is crossing a red line, Trump told reporters, “they’re starting to, it looks like,” The Hill news outlet reported.

“There seemed to be some people killed that aren’t supposed to be killed,” he said. “But we’re looking at it very seriously. The military is looking at it and we’re looking at some strong options and we’re going to making a determination.”
Trump added that he is receiving “an hourly briefing” on the situation regarding Iranian protesters.
He also said that Iranian leaders called him on Saturday, wanting to negotiate.
“I think they’re tired of being beat up by the United States,” Trump said.
“Iran wants to negotiate, yes. We may meet with them, I mean a meeting is being set up,” he continued. “But we may have to act, because of what’s happening, before the meeting. But a meeting is being set up, Iran called, they want to negotiate.”

This follows an initial lawsuit filed in March 2025 regarding mass layoffs within the department.
“The Trump Administration is continuing its illegal effort to dismantle the Department of Education until it finally shutters for good. This isn’t about reducing bureaucracy,” Attorney General Bonta said in a statement. “If anything, these changes are only making bureaucracy worse.”
The coalition argues the administration’s actions violate the Constitution’s separation of powers.
“Neither the President nor his agencies can undo the many acts of Congress that authorize the Department, dictate its responsibilities, and appropriate funds for it to administer,” the complaint states.

The court’s response is expected to impact two cases before different courts, the Austin Court of Appeals in Texas and the federal appellate court in New Orleans.

In the first case, McLennan County Justice of the Peace Dianne Hensley has said she cannot marry same-sex couples due to her religious beliefs. She created a referral program, established a low-cost option blocks away from her office, and offered “to pay any difference in cost for the same-sex couples she was referring,” First Liberty Institute, which is representing her, says.

No one filed a complaint about the process, but in 2019, the state Commission on Judicial Conduct (SCJC) officially reprimanded her for “casting doubt on her capacity to act impartially to persons appearing before her as a judge due to the person’s sexual orientation in violation of Canon 4A(1) of the Texas Code of Judicial Conduct.”
She sued, arguing the reprimand was unconstitutional and the SCJC’s interpretation of Canon 4A(1) violates the Texas Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which prohibits government agencies from substantially burdening a person’s free exercise of religion.
In the second case, the SCJC reprimanded Jack County Judge Keith Umphress for the same reason and he also sued. His case is before the Fifth Circuit.

Tehran presents a far more challenging military target: it is deep inland, its security apparatus is highly alert, it has substantial loyal forces, and Iran’s geography and air defenses create severe difficulties for inserting commandos, as well as the likelihood of regime leadership being deep underground. Let me be the first on the block to congratulate the state of Israel and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems for having used — since the fall of 2024 — the incredibly effective and incredibly cheap Iron Beam laser anti-missile defense weapon.
But in addition, the development and possession and use of such a weapon by Israel has a geopolitical significance, for it enhance Israel’s standing on the world stage, and its desirability as a defense partner.
The Defense Ministry announced on Sunday the delivery of the first Iron Beam (Or Eitan) system to the IDF, Israel’s revolutionary laser air-defense platform.

What is immediately clear is that Iron Beam could significantly alter the battlefield – at least in the short term – in Israel’s favor. What is less obvious, but potentially more consequential, is that it could also alter Israel’s geopolitical position, again to Israel’s advantage.

Iron Beam is not just a military development; it is a geopolitical one.

It has the potential to reshape Israel’s relations with allies, reorder parts of the global arms market, blunt efforts to isolate the country, and force Israel’s enemies to rethink not only the mechanics of attacking Israel – the how – but the economics of those attacks.

The Iron Beam is designed to defend against short-range threats such as rockets, mortars, and drones. Instead of firing expensive interceptor missiles, it uses a powerful, precisely aimed laser beam to heat a target until it is damaged or destroyed, often within seconds of launch and while it is still over enemy territory….
The incoming rockets, mortars, and drones are heated up by laser beams aimed at them within seconds of their launch, heated so high that they self-destruct before they reach Israeli airspace, and Israelis need no longer rush into shelters several times a day, that so disrupts their work day and their lives.

IVF has become a routine part of American reproductive health care since the nation’s first IVF baby was born in 1981. Today, IVF accounts for about 2 percent of all US births, or nearly 100,000 babies a year, a 50 percent increase over the past decade.
The procedure involves retrieving a woman’s eggs, fertilizing them with sperm in a laboratory, and implanting an embryo into the uterus. While commonly used to treat infertility, IVF has also become a key factor in the rise of older, unmarried mothers at a time when the overall US birth rate is falling.
