The United States carried out large-scale airstrikes against Islamic State (ISIS) targets in Syria as part of an ongoing military operation focused on degrading the extremist group’s capabilities and deterring future attacks on American and allied forces, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Saturday.
According to CENTCOM, the strikes targeted at least 35 locations across Syria, deploying more than 90 precision munitions and involving over 20 aircraft, including F-15Es, A-10s, AC-130Js and MQ-9 drones. Jordanian F-16s also participated in the operation.
The action is part of Operation Hawkeye Strike, launched in response to a deadly ambush on Dec. 13 near Palmyra in central Syria that killed two U.S. soldiers and a U.S. civilian interpreter.
CENTCOM emphasized that U.S. and coalition forces remain committed to rooting out extremists and protecting personnel in the region.

A number of federal agents were seen at the home of the ICE officer who fatally shot Renee Good in Minnesota on Wednesday. This comes amid rumors that he and his family have gone into hiding since the shooting took place. The agents at the home, who were wearing face masks, gathered up the belongings in the home to carry them off.
Jon Ross, the agent who fired the shot at Good, has had his personal information doxed in the media and online. Images captured by the Daily Mail saw the federal officers walking to and from the house with the Ross’ belongings to pack them away. One agent had pepper spray, and another had an assault rifle as they were packing up the house.
After gathering much of the belongings in crates, including picture frames as well as a computer tower, the agents drove off in unmarked cars in formation. One agent took video of the outlet’s reporting staff before they drove off.
One neighbor told the outlet that she had seen Ross’ wife pacing in the driveway just hours after the shooting had taken place. The house has been empty since then, the neighbor said. Ross is a former Iraq veteran and an Enforcement and Removal Operations agent. His wife is also an immigrant from the Philippines but is a legal US citizen.

If I had to guess, I’d say it was the vest cam and not a cell phone camera. A cell phone, he’d have to hold in his hand, which would make shooting more cumbersome, especially while evading the moving vehicle.

❓ I am not sure what you mean. You are probably right, a science fiction analogy might not have been the best. I am just not feeling well lately and when I set out to answer sometimes I just lose steam and decide for a short response. Tonight is no exception; I went out to eat with my son and had a delightful meal, only ate about half of it and started feeling sick before we got home.
With some rest and a bit of remedial therapy, things are better... but some issues I am going to have to deal with in the morning. Sorry for the whine, just don't want you to think I was giving you the brush off! 🤷
