Two cups is a high amount?
This study conducted by the United Coffee Growers Association.
Im 2-3 cups in the morning but I use organic cream and a small spoon of brown sugar.
4-6 cups and I’m doing french press cold coffee through a paper filter. 90 minutes after waking up.
I grind whole beans every morning and drink it with a big splash of whole milk.

Overuse increases tinnitus doctors say.
I drink a whole pot of coffee every morning. The coffee maker claims to be a 10 cup pot. I drink it in two huge cups. First cup is coffee with creamer and stevia. Second cup goes heavier on the stevia by about twice, same with the non dairy creamer, and a heaping spoonful of Hershey’s 100% cacao. Pure cocoa.
With the second cup you have to keep a spoon in the coffee cause the cocoa will settle somewhat and need restirring but DAMN its good!
I dont know what some weenie coffee store like starbucks might call the last one. My son says that 10 years ago I would have called it gay coffee.
When I worked it was several mugs through noon, always black and filtered. Retirement has me at two mugs of black filtered before 8am.
I never thought of the airtight container for my beans. I’ll add it to my shopping list today.
I buy recently roasted beans and grind them before each pourover. I have not graduated to roasting my own beans.
The author didn’t mention the “Breaking Bad” setup.
I home roast every week and a half.

The weird thing for me is that if I drink a few cups of coffee in the morning, it actually REDUCES my blood pressure by that afternoon more than if I drank NO coffee in the morning.
There was a video on Epoch Times I watched that said drinking BLACK coffee...about 4 cups...can help to fix fatty liver disease.
One has to wonder if any of these studies are valid, given the differences in the test subjects’ diets. But I’ll continue to enjoy my coffee...2 - 3 cups a day, black.
“Coffee may also influence neurotransmitter balance, which is crucial for maintaining memory and thinking skills as people age.” “How fresh is that coffee? I generally make a fresh pot every week, whether there’s some left over or not.” Three cups for me with a dollup of whole milk.
With the amount of coffee I’m consuming I should live to 147!
