Welcome to death valley days
XXXXXXXXX takes their temp at the airport. All that asphalt and the blowoff from the planes...how accurate could it be?
Stopped reading right there.
I get it: Rescind the record to reset the bar so that when the lowered bar is broken, they can ran around crying about “man-made climate change!”
I wanna buy some 20 Mule Team Borax
Dr Roy Spencer was Rush Limbaugh’s Official Climatologist.
Here is a transcript of one of Rush’s first conversations with Spencer

This isn’t the first time this has been debated and — pardoning the double negative — it is absolutely not clear that it did not happen. In analog terms it would have fit the pattern.
“authenticity has been debated by meteorologists and climatologists, because — despite global warming — temperatures in the region have rarely reached 130 F”
There is no global warming.
Who Cares? Honestly I wish I received a six figure salary, so I could argue with people about the WX. Sheesh!
This, so they can claim some recent temperatures were the hottest and... See! The world is getting hotter!
Are these fraudsters taking lessons from the Somalis.... or is it vice versa?
I drove a motorcycle through there in 2015.
It was 125 based on the thermometer on my bike. But when you get that hot, it’s like driving in an oven.
Its the hottest I am ever going to experience in this life.
I would have expected A city in some other country to be declared as Hottest Ever Recorded.
Someplace in the Delhi or Rajasthan areas of India, where it often goes OVER 122F’. Another place unfit for human habitation! Where is this supposed to be, the planet of Mercury? Appropriate Sun Block not yet invented.
I’ve been o Death valley...years ago. I was there in March..and it was a clear, sunny day At the “lip” of the valley it was something like 60 degrees. At the floor about 20 minutes later (about 100-200nbelow sea level) it was close to 80.
So, if it DIDN’T reach 134F in 1913, where did all the icebergs and glaciers go?

“Climate Change Causes Human Error”
The internet tells me that the world’s highest recorded temperature was 136.4° F, taken on September 13, 1922, in the Sahara Desert at El Azizia, Libya, but there weren’t thermometers in every part of the Sahara to record temperatures that may have been even higher — and besides, everything the internet says is a lie.
Still damn hot whatever it was.
