What is wrong with climate change?
self ^ | December 26, 2025 | Self

We often think about human-induced climate change as something that will happen in the future, but it is happening now. Ecosystems and people in the United States and around the world are affected by the ongoing process of climate change today.

Climate change affects the environment in many different ways, including rising temperatures, sea level rise, drought, flooding, and more. These events affect things that we depend upon and value, like water, energy, transportation, wildlife, agriculture, ecosystems, and human health.

Earth is a pretty big place. I am pretty sure if we were able to put a dent into any change would see a pretty significant opposite reaction.

We are passengers on this rock. We are not steering it.

“We stopped tossing people into volcanoes to try to stop them a long time ago.”

We did? When did we stop doing that? No wonder everything is really screwed up.

News flash for those who believe earth is a stable planet and any changes must be from the influence of humans. Earth is a DYNAMIC planet! That means it’s climate does not have meaningful averages and that natural forces far exceed the pitifully small influences humans can exert.

There IS climate change occuring as we speak. It's G-D MADE CLIMATE CHANGE.
Last winter eco extremists were losing their collective minds when 6+ inches of snow fell in Pensacola. Snow in Fl, while rare does happen. And it's nothing new. The state has thousands of digitized photographs going back to the 1800's online. Quite a few of them pictures of snow on the ground in Tampa, Jacksonville, Tallahassee etc. going back over 100 years ago.

We all know the climate changes, but it isn’t man that changes it, therefore can’t change it to suit himself. How would anyone change it into a situation that suited everyone else who lived there?

I’m going to offer a different point of view than what’s being expressed here.

Climate change IS real.

It’s happening on all of the planets in our star system. It’s not our fault, there is nothing we can do about it.

Politicians are using these changes to gain power. That’s the entirety of it.

However we will all be having weather extremes like we’ve never witnessed. 220 degree days, -40 degree days and maybe only a few days between those extremes. Growing food (plants and animals) will be very, very difficult and people will die because of it. Or, those same politicians will size control of it. Water, meat, vegetables and energy production will be reduced because these extreme weather flips will disrupt them. Expect 50 percent reductions in everything (which means doubling demand and 10 good price increases)

What is the end game? The sun. Many here follow suspicious observers - an online community that is aware of the changes taking place on the sun and the ultimate result of those changes. The sun is emitting different because it’s collecting a lot of solar material. That material will blow off the outer shell and the sun will return to its normal state.

We’re going to have really, really bad weather soon then a final climax of a solar flare that will rock the entire system. It will reset us - technologically and culturally and even geographically (many believe the earth itself will tilt to align with the new magnetic poles) and the chaos will be unlike anything we could have ever imagined.

An end of the world (as we know it). The more you look and follow this rabbit hole though the happier the end result.

I, for one, feel optimistic of the future. It’s the present that I can’t stand.

So called “climate change” a red herring and is and has been clearly anti Capitalism. Just consider what it proposes.

the acronym (CACA) explains the science.

That, sir, will cost you one replacement monitor, as my screen has mysteriously gone kaput. Heh.

Human output is _nothing_ in comparison to the energy of the Sun and the plate tectonics and vulcanism of the Earth.

The earth doesn’t need our help. It’ll take care of itself. The earth is out of our league anyway, so find a more realistic cause to champion.

From what I understand, all of the planets are slightly warming — even Pluto, in lock-step with Earth which means our Sun is just going through a phase.

Back around 2008, Fred Thompson wrote an article about that. IIRC, the title is "Plutonic Warming".

We are at what 450 ppm today? 200 ppm would start an extinction level event. I’m not even going to go into the actual science. Go to watts up with that if you’re interested in science. AGW is hogwash and it’s theories failed miserably.

US Climate Reference Network

Years: 2005-2025

114 of the most pristine locations in the USA.

Sampled by 114 of the most precise temperature gathering instruments in the world.

Excluding the cluster of warmer than average temps after the 2022 Tonga Ocean Volcano Eruption, the USA has had ZERO average temperature increase for the last 20 years.

UCLA recently released a 300 page study that definitively "proves" the Tonga Ocean Volcano had NO impact on the spike in Earth temperatures after 2022.

Curiously, UCLA completely forgot to explain exactly what did cause that sudden spike in Earth temperatures!

Thank you so much for posting that! I have been trying to find it again for years.

About 35-40 years ago I worked for a company that manufactured and installed electronic signs in airports. Those signs primarily provided flight arrival and departure information for passengers. Some were large TV monitors.

Although software engineers, the guys in my group made many trips to airports all over the world during installation or debugging those systems. We all noticed that airports all over the planet were moving those little white weather sensor housings from their original positions to places that were just plain lousy for those devices. The NOAA rules for those housings are very explicit. The sensors were moved from compliant positions to strongly non-compliant positions. Conspiracy indeed. We watched them do it.
