You are just being contrary. If you don’t want to learn, you shouldn’t ask.

if it looks like a bubble, smells like a bubble...

in all seriousness, the Nasdaq, like it was in 1999, has become a victim of its own success. the ROI for the companies spending cash on AI GPUs will slowly but surely prove to be unjustified...and then...POP!

Personally, I think it will end up being misused. AI has great potential to better the life of human beings, but those who end up using AI will only care about costs and not as much productivity gains that will afford the cost, which is wages.

And don’t forget, all those solar plants and wind generation projects allowed European countries to invest and reap profits from the build. Those investment opportunities were never offered to lowly US citizens.

I think the crunching of thousands of years of data in a few minutes should is useful. It’s just a question of economics, whether it proves itself useful enough to be worth the expense.

.........

Exactly when do we need thousands of years of data. To do what?

This will result in reduced expenses and higher profits.

.........

You cannot make one concrete example of AI usefulness. All these data centers...

What is an EBE and where and when did term originate?

Here from Chat GPT:

```html
EBE in the UFO Context
EBE stands for Extraterrestrial Biological Entity.
Meaning
In UFO and UAP discussions, an Extraterrestrial Biological Entity refers to a non-human life form of extraterrestrial origin, usually assumed to be intelligent and associated with UFO sightings, encounters, or alleged crash-retrieval cases.
Origin of the Term
Who Popularized It
The term was popularized by Dr. J. Allen Hynek, an astrophysicist and former scientific advisor to the U.S. Air Force’s Project Blue Book, along with other researchers such as Jacques Vallée.
Hynek intentionally used EBE to avoid sensational terms like “alien” or “little green men”, favoring language that sounded neutral, technical, and scientifically plausible.
Key Historical Reference
The term gained broader recognition around 1980 with Hynek’s book The Close Encounters Man. By that time, “EBE” was already circulating in UFO research papers, conferences, and informal briefings.
Why the Term Was Used
Summary
I think though eventually your laptop will have the LLM embedded on a chip
I would think that a LLM on a chip would make sense, but it would almost have to be a separate special design CPU to run on. Otherwise it would probably consume all you processing capability when you are using it.
I think it will need its own cache memory as well. Might as well give it a separate mother board.
Telephones, airplanes,motor cars, etc do not think. AI is supposed to think like humans. That is where the hype is.
