So you just want every election to hinge on purple states?

Even the fact that the Democrat policies may force more Blue state residents to move into purple and red states is concern enough!

NYC is not just some little ole blue dot. And it’s not Cuomo, a textbook Dem that won, it’s the most significant city in the USA - and a socialist Muslim Gen Z/millennial just won. Hello?

You underestimate at your own peril.

Not just swing states, but red ones are vulnerable if conservatives don’t get act together.

Even if only considering the migration of blue state residents to these places.

Yep. Today’s results do not exactly fill me with confidence in my fellow voters.

Is it him or is it the Ben Shapiro who reconciled with the President, barnstormed the country for GOP Senate candidates, donated to Trump and held a fundraiser for him, and was invited the the state of the Union and the address to the Knesset? Honestly, it’s like the people who wouldn’t get off Cruz or Levin’s backs even after Trump reconciled with them during the first term.

No enemies to the right

If so, I’m moving from “kinda prepping” to “utterly full-on full-time-occupation prepping”.

There was a lot of anti-Trump sentiment among voters. I think it was in NJ where some 70% of voters said they were pushing back against Trump. Frankly DJT’s quest for a Nobel Prize by being the world’s peacemaker isn’t America first. It’s a great accomplishment, but it wasn’t why he was elected. Prices, jobs, the economy, election/ballot security, crime and safety, making America financially strong; these are the things that affect every day American voters. These are the things that will elect republicans, especially now that NYC has elected a guy who has promised to torch the place as a comparison point.

This comment sums it up.

NYC is getting less relevant every year, as it descends into a crime infested hell hole ruled by corrupt Democrats.
Mamdani?
He's going to inspire more Republicans to vote in red and swing states.
Mamdani’s good news for Republicans, outside New York City.

Don’t know. Don’t care. All I know is Shapiro is a lightweight poser who is not to be trusted.

NJ is a deep blue state where Democrats almost always win the governor’s office.
Last “Republican” governor was fat Chris Christie who hates Trump even more than most Democrats.
That’s no real Republican.

Those elections were all in blue states where the chances of the GOP winning are very slim.

“Been saying that since she won election. Do not underestimate her given the built in advantages she has, and the prevailing gullibility of the public.”

Yes. Don’t be put off by the frequently stupid things she says. That’s just the woke upbringing and education she received. They don’t sound stupid to millennials and a lot of z’ers.

She is VERY politically savvy. She has made no fatal mistakes despite her youth and the media glare (and yes, I know it’s hard for lefties to make fatal political mistakes—eg her tax the rich $5,000 dress at a billionaire gala was barely a ripple. A conservative with comparable hypocrisy would be answering questions about it for years).

And, she has great instincts for social media. Anyone who underestimates her should ask why a wet behind the ears, hyper radical, congress critter from an utterly unrepresentative-of-America congressional district has become a major national figure in just a few years. The reason is she’s a great political athlete, notwithstanding her odious political commitment to socialism and tyranny.
