The Walt Disney company has suffered some of its worst popularity numbers since 2020, according to a new report on Internet search results.
The results are seen in Google’s Trends analysis which calculates the number of times a topic is searched and compares this year’s trends to previous totals. When applied to major theme parks — of which Disney’s various attractions are a huge part — the numbers show that more than half of the Mouse House’s parks have seen a fall in popularity of Internet searches.
The trends were highlighted by Forbes magazine, which noted that an Internet search does not necessarily result in a visit to a park, but, on the other hand, if fewer people are even searching for a park online, then it certainly means fewer people are interested in that park.
In some cases, the Disney parks have seen a large drop off in searches since 2020, in other cases only a small drop off. A handful also saw an uptick.
Magic Kingdom (Walt Disney World) in Orlando, Florida, for instance, suffered a 21 percent fall in search queries since 2020, the magazine said citing Google’s search results. Similarly, searches for “Walt Disney World” (which is also the Orlando park) fell by an even greater 26 percent.
Disneyland in Anaheim, California, also saw a steep decline in searches, with 26 percent fewer search queries, the magazine added.

It’s a combination of woke and greed.
Went 50 years ago with our 3 children...thought it was a waste of time and money.
Who doesn’t want a princess with a beard welcoming your child to Disney World? As my kid saws “Ewww”.
Evil perverted scum.
Knoebels costs 1/10 as much and is ten times as enjoyable. Same goes for a lot of smaller parks around our great land. People are maybe starting to figure this out.
Florida used to have many smaller amusement parks until Disney came and they all went under..........

Keep it going folks. Knock’em out. Don’t need Disney or any of its affiliates as long as it wants to propagandize our kids with garbage.
The average working family can’t afford it anymore. It’s now for singles, couples, very well-off families, or poor families who get in subsidized or gifted free.
Unlike Vegas, Disney has a copyrighted product that others simply cannot match (and believe me, they try) - so an effective monopoly. On top of that, they have a customer base that does not care about the cost (young children). So, rather than opening more parks, Disney seems to be taking their fixed capacity and adjusting their prices to throttle demand to acceptable levels.
Now their woke crap is costing them, big time, as it eliminates self-respecting parents from associating with them, but there are still many, many, others (as we see by turnout at Drag Queen Story Hours around the country, even in Texas!).
It’s not just the woke BS that is causing people to stay away from Disney, talking with a friend earlier this week, he’s taking his wife to Disney for her birthday, we live in Florida and are used to Florida Resident pricing at certain times of the year.
I can’t remember the exact amount but a 1-day pass for all the parks is over $200 per person, for a couple it’s $400 just to get in the door, much less eat or drink anything, he’s staying off property, a Disney hotel is off the charts expensive.
I can’t imagine what a family of 4 from around the country would have to pay for a 3-4 day Disney vacation.
We lived 3 hours away from Disney World and went 3 or 4 times a year. After my wife and I came back from our Jamaican honeymoon, we drove up and did a couple of days at Disney World. A few years later our first child was conceived at a Disney Resort (Caribbean Beach). Our house was decorated with Disney collectables. I owned some stock in Disney. Yeah, we were fanatics. Note the past tense.
At one point I looked forward to the day I would bring my grandchildren to the parks. Now I wouldn’t even consider it.
Iger has ruined Disney. His embrace of leftist policies and rejection of traditional values has created a revulsion in me that I don’t think they could ever fix.
This is what is going to hurt Disney the most...they have lost the generational magic. Young children are not very interested in the current Disney IPs. They squandered their purchases of Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. They catered to the tastes of less than 10% of the population and told the rest to screw off.
F ‘em.
Correct.
Exactly.
It’s a combination of woke and greed.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>..
More and more parents are learning about the insidious dark side of the world of Disney and its unhealthy influence upon their children. It’s a disgrace, and I hope it soon goes belly up.
I’d say the other ripoffs on the east coast/south are probably Six Flags, Great Adventure, Hershey Park, Kings Island.
DollyWood and Cedar Point get a lot of love from the park enthusiast community. Better rides and not as ghetto.
At Knoebels your family just walks in (after parking for free) w/ your dog on a leash and Grandma - who isn’t going to ride anything. You can even bring a big cooler full of sandwiches and drinks and set it on one of the dozens of picnic tables and leave it while you explore the park. No one will bother it. They’ll know you were there first.
You buy some tickets (or splurge for wrist bands if you want) and go send the kiddies on some rides. You can ride the #1 rated wooden coaster in the world for the last 6 years for I think $4.50.
There isn’t even a fence around Knoebels and there are single family homes located within the confines of the park. Crazy cool.
I’m surprised that the fall is that small. It should be much higher.
